G-Ma's Diner — Restaurant in Mills

We, a family of 5, have eaten here before and had a great experience. Today however, we are not impressed. The inability of the waitress to think outside the box and simply put a chair at the end of a table (which we have always done previously) to seat us left not only us but everyone else who came in after us well.. standing and hungry for 50 minutes. When asked why and offering the idea of seating us the way we have been seated previously the waitress copped an attitude and stated they needed to put two tables together to accommodate us, again, I offered an alternative as my kids at this point are really hungry and not happy just to get more attitude and no service. I was eating my usual skillet of chicken fried steak. We were just about ready to leave. When all of a sudden I couldn't get up. The waitresses pulled some strong men from the bar and they pulled me up.... bless them! But getting my feet to move wasn't happening. The decision was made to contact the fire department from across the street... they came with a special chair and got me to my car. The thing I noticed most was the absolute grace and mercy of every single person. They made me feel safe and valued. Food was delicious and was out in less than 10 minutes. Food was not over cooked did I say it was delicious. I had the truck driver. My daughter had pancakes that were bigger than her head. She loved them. My wife had the chicken fried steak skillet and loved it. The staff were all friendly , courteous, and quick with service and attentive. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Easy access for parking. Plenty of sitting room. The tables reminded me of my grandma's kitchen, from the service to the food to the decor we definitely loved our first experience there and will return.and the price was very reasonable.
