BEST HOT DOGS IN VT. So, my spouse and I popped in here on 04/01/25. The owner greeted me, was very kind, and we sat down in a very clean booth in a very clean restaurant. Wall art was cute and all for sale through the Milton Artist's Guild which is an excellent local touch. Water was brought to us, it may sound funny to mention. But it tasted great! If you drink a lot of water in VT, you know. The other owner, the Chef, personally and passionately talked to us about his menu and we chose the Spice Box Chicken (due to allergy with seafood) and the Michigan Sauce Hot Dogs. I've never had a more flavorful dog in my memory. The bun seemed to be flat top fried in a seasoned butter, and the hot dog was also full of flavor from the method of cooking. The toppings were delicious without taking away from the experience, even the diced onions were seasoned just a little for the hot dog topper and it all melted together beautifully. The spice box chicken had a message on the box, which was a nice personal touch, but importantly, it was fire. It was explained as a dish made with a rich and deep Nigerian spice variety that didn't pack heat that buried the flavor. He was right on. The fries were nice hand cut skin on old school diner fries. Little too plain on their own, so I tossed the hot dog's fries into the spice box and shook it up because the ones that came in the spice box were pretty damn good. Overall, Im going to be back, and often. I'm very excited to try the whole menu. They get their wagyu local, coincidentally exactly where I get mine from and have worked with them to dial in the exact ratio they want for the most flavorful burger possible. I'm stoked to try it. The owners were so happy to talk shop, and polite as hell. We even had a couple walk in while we were dining, say something critical of their menu and they were nothing but extremely polite and wished them a great day. Not even in a passive aggressive way lol. Hot dog 10/10. Spiced Tender 8/10, I am personally going to ask for more spice or toss on some sauce next time but don't let me distract from how crunchy, juicy, and internally soft the tender was. Fries 7/10 plain, 8/10 with spice, and if we could get them loaded like the hot dog was? 10/10.
It was such a nice enough experience, I'd have applied on the spot to cook there if they were hiring.
They been open 3 months. Bless up. Go check...
Read moreGreat food and awesome folks! Everything on the menu is excellent. You can tell Michael and Chef Pops care about their food and their customers from the quality of ingredients and care in preparation.
Humble Revelry has a set menu on their FB page with lots of fresh, creative additions as rotating specials, usually daily. If you follow along, you’ll see awesome American comfort foods like burgers and mac n’ cheese as menu staples, but they also serve awesome salads. (And I do a French fry happy dance because they’re just so yummy.) Everything they offer is slightly elevated and locally sourced when possible, which not only sets them apart from other nearby spots, but it scratches that itch for foodies like me who are a little “extra” about food. These gents put their heart and soul into their food, and as a result, nothing is dumbed down and everything is tasty AF. Humble’s food has been a refreshing addition Milton badly needed.
