I've been going to this place since I was a kid. I love the diner atmosphere and the small town feel. I had the French onion soup which I just wanted to try and see how it was. It's not baked French onion and it just has salad croutons in it and some cheese sprinkled on the top. It was somewhat expected because I assume they don't have a broiler or a salamander buuuuut, the soup itself, good! But those croutons ruin it. I love their salad always fresh and they have good French dressing. They have chocolate chip pancakes now and when I was younger I don't remember them having them but my son was happy about that. I love to come here although since I moved away I don't get to get there often but bringing my son in reminded me how much I used to love coming there. The owners are super sweet and nice people and the service has almost always been good. This time the server was really peppy and brought us our food exactly how we had ordered it. I asked for crispy hashbrowns and they were done perfectly. Very good eggs and pancake (which I consider a serious improvement over toast).
Our server was very pleasant and efficient. And we were escorted to our booth by the very pleasant owner.
We live 90 minutes from Milton, but I intend to find excuses to get back to the Milton...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I ran some errands near Milton Wisconsin. It was during lunch so I researched and found this gem...glad I did!! From the time we arrived it was so welcoming, clean and EVERY staff had a smile and a "welcome" for us. Prices are very good and you get big servings (took home leftovers for my husband 😍). I had the open-faced hot beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy (girlfriend had the turkey version...we're a lot alike 😜). So yummy, hot, loads of thick tasty gravy on white bread with tender roast beef. Sat near the dessert display (very dangerous) so we each bought a slice to go (carrot cake and key lime pie)...OMG! We had fun and will definitely go back again! Thanks to the...
