We came to this quaint little town for their city wide garage sales. This is the first time I had ever been to the Kountry Kafe. I thought the food was great, what you would expect from a small town dinner. When we went in, it was before lunch, not busy yet. I give this place a 2 star rating because it took 2 times of taking my husband and my food back to the kitchen to correct it. We are not PICKY eaters, we ordered a double bacon cheeseburger. The first time it had no bacon, the second time it came out it still only had one patty, by this time it was about their lunch rush and we waited forever each time to get our food ,by the time we did get it, it was cold. I was very dissapointed in this service. But the real kicker for me was how the manager handled it. I asked if we could get some money taken of our check for the amount of times our food went back and the ridiculous wait time we had too wait just to have our food corrected. The manager said no in an incredibly snooty way, then spouted off that everyone had to wait. So I was talking with my husband about how I thought that was wrong, I never lost my patience, was very polite. Then she comes back out from the back and looks at me and throws her hangs up in the air and in the same snooty voice looks at me and says she didn't care. All I could say was wow, are you serious. I understand if she didn't want to make the situation rite, but I DEFINITELY think she could have handled that in a more professional manner. I will NEVER recommend this place or EVER go back to this little hole in the...
Read moreThis place is terrible, all fried foods and bland to satisfy the mostly elderly farmers that eat their because they don't know what good food is. This place is used as a gathering place for the local gossipers to spread rumors and talk about things they know nothing about. I have eaten here at least once for breakfast, lunch and dinner just to try it out, each time I either got sick or was given over fried, tasteless food. The owner is just as tasteless as he food for reasons that dont need to be mentioned here. Avoid this place at all cost. Its a waste of...
Read moreA enjoyable place to go and have a reasonably priced meal. not always fried food, but just simple down home country cooking. The atmosphere is cozy with an emphasis on community where folks sit at long tables together and usually discuss the weather and farm life. I've eaten here many times and have never felt excluded or unwelcome. Mexican day on Wednesdays is my favorite! Also, name one person in America that doesn't like some small town gossip? We can give the big cities a run for their...
