Jo's Saloon & Eatery — Restaurant in Milwaukie

My husband and I went last night, Jan 22, 2022, because first, it was advertised there would be live music from 7 to 9, but that never happened, but ok, that's not why I'm on here taking my time to write a review. I'm on here cause the chick who was working the tables, was the WORSE my husband and I ever expierenced. From the second we walked in the door, she first didnt even look at us or even gave us a friendly hello. It got worse! She ignored me twice, and when my husband turned around to get her attention, she turned around and put her finger up to tell him to wait... woo! We did order nacho and we enjoyed them. The 5 dollar tip was for the cook, not her! We left rght after as my husband didn't want to spend anymore more money there. Oh! And no silverware when she brought our food. And when we left, she gave my husband the receipt and turned around and left, walking right by me without even saying bye, or , thanks for coming in, to either him or I. Someone really hates their life. We went to.another place and enjoyed spending our money and time with a more friendly people. The nachos were great, don't forget!! But Missy there, woo!! Needs a course in friendliness. It was utterly painful. Too bad. I'm familiar with jos from when I worked on international way...

We eat here a lot, as it's very close to my home. The place was recently taken over by new owners. Since then, the food is EXCELLENT!, It's always been good pub fair, but has improved a great deal. However, The menu has changed several times in recent months. If you find something you like on the menu, it will probably be gone on your next visit, the service has suffered somewhat as well.. Table service went from poor to mostly non existent. Be prepaired to get your own refills and possibly have to go to the bar to place a food order. The place is in an industrial area, so rush hours like 4 to 6 the place is packed and noisy. After 7 it slows down and is a nice place... It's a good place to eat and drink, and I'm sure once the new owners get it figured out the service will improve.. The foods a 10, atmosphere is a solid 7, service is a 4 at best... I figure that will improve... Maybe this review will help alert them to...

One of my favorite spots in Milwaukie since the new ownership. You feel welcome. The staff is friendly and they have a good food. I love how they offer new food items as specials. Not just your standard bar menu either. My all time favorite is the steak bites with their house special horseradish. These are not deep friend steak bites. These are delicious juicy chunks of steak, seasoned to perfection. On top it comes with blue cheese crumbles, fried onion straws and deep friend thin sliced Jalapenos coins. YUMMY!!! They also have a generous size covered outdoor seating area with heaters and games. They offer Karaoke, Trivia & Bingo nights for week...
