I am honestly shocked the reviews here are mainly 5 stars. I am an event planner and professionally this is the WORST place to have an event. First off you are only allowed an hour to get in to decorate or customize to your liking. Generally as an event planner, I can get in earlier as venues and I have professional curtosey. Nope, not here I had to plead for 1.5 hours. We could make that work. I arrive and bring my stuff down to the bottom venue area. I see tables set up on the side and I asked if they necessary for service. Immediately I get attitude from the wait staff but they did move them and my rentals came at that time so it was perfect. Backdrop Rental is good so I start doing centerpieces which are various trees and woodland items as it was a woodland themed birthday. The waitress says to stop because she was not done setting the table. I told her that is perfectly fine. We can quickly setup and she can come in behind us. I come from a place where team work makes the dream work. I can't do my job without the venue. We need to work together. Mind you, I was polite with my request, keeping the setup light. 2 minutes later the owner, a very large man, comes storming at me yelling at me and I mean YELLING at me about how I can't tell his staff what to do and I was honestly flabbergasted. I gasped from shock and he mocked my gasp. At no point did he tell me what I did wrong and what I had asked his staff to do that was wrong. At the end of his rant he simply walked away. It was honestly shocking and completely inappropriate. It sucked the air completely out of the room as we all had to keep working to set up the event because the client was coming. I get that this restaurant doesn't get a lot of event planners and if you are not used to props and balloons it can be a change. But again we need to work together and have a line of communication to get the job done. The staff here does not want to do ANYTHING out of their comfort zone and if they do it is with attitude and a scream session in your face. I obviously won't do another event at this venue and probably won't be allowed to after this review. But I wanted tell people that if you wanted to have an event with prop rentals and some higher end details, look somewhere else. If you just want food and drinks this simple place may be your spot. Just wanted to give...

I was looking for delicious food. I wanted something personally made, not packaged chain restaurant food. We googled and found this place. We walked in, the setting was nice with clean linens and we were sat at a private table in the corner.
Upon looking at the menu 3 of the dishes I had chosen this place for that were on the online menu were not actually available. “Oooo yeah... out online menu hasn’t been updated.”
This meant the prices were also different.Today, I didn’t care about the price. I had just been released from a week in the hospital and just wanted a relaxing and wonderful dinner.
After changing my desires to meet their availability.we ordered several tapas. The surf and turf kabobs were so heavily doused in lime it ruined the flavor of everything. The lamb lollipops were tender but the char was so heavy I couldn’t get past the burnt flavor. The frito mistro was ok... this was an item that was removed from the menu... and we now know why.
The pizza was ok....and my friend enjoyed it... but it wasn’t for me.
My entree was the penne vodka with sausage and blackened chicken&shrimp. Voodoo pasta. I did ask that they not use the seasoning for the “blacken” aspect. Never in my life have I sent back food and asked for a refund. Today I did. The pasta, the sauce, the shrimp... all tasted burnt. Like they burned the pan and never washed it. It permeated everything. When I asked the server for a refund she was snarky and said she would have to ask. They did remove it from my bill and I munched on a piece of pizza before leaving.
$70 later... I left feeling sick and having taken 2 bites of beef, one small shrimp and a few bites of pizza. If you are looking for good flavor... go any where else. If you like snarky service and the flavor of burnt everything... this...
Read moreI don't know what happened to this place, but it's certainly gone downhill. A friend from out of town joined me for dinner on Friday evening. We each ordered the $1 oysters appetizer, which, I guess, "you get what you pay for" as they were very small and briney. Then, as our entree, we ordered the "Prime Rib Special." I put this in quotes because there was nothing special about their Prime Rib Special. My friend requested an end piece, which was all well and good, except that it was as if, with each bite, you took a heaping spoonful of salt with it! Mine was a center cut slice, but half of it was simply nerve and fat - what appeared to be a sizeable 10 oz. slice, really only yielded about 6 oz of actual edible meat - which, of course, was salty as all get out, too. The waiter was a dimwit as well, kept giving us the wrong drinks, disappeared during the meal, suggested espresso martini as an after dinner cocktail and when my friend expressed that she liked neither coffee nor martinis, he suggests a different martini. She again said, "No, I don't care for martinis." What's he do? You guessed it! My friend then specifically requested Earl Grey tea. He brought to the table a Lipton tea bag and placed the cup of hot water in front of me instead of my friend who ordered it. Overall dissatisfied. I don't know if I'll be back any time soon to give it another chance, which is really disappointing since this used to be a "go-to" place to bring family and out of town guests for a nice dinner. I even held my 50th birthday party here in their downstairs Wine Cellar room about 8 years ago (which was supurb at the time). A real shame the service and food has now...
