Bass Capital Tavern — Restaurant in Mineola

I've only been in the Restaurant side since new owners took over (not much of a bar fly) I've been in twice. First time I had the Mushroom Swiss burger. It was really good burger. ½lb patty if I recall right (it was huge) sautéed Mushrooms and onions nice evenly melted cheese. Big side of hand cut well seasoned fries. Went back tonite Nov 2nd 2025 I've been craving Country (Chicken) Fried steak for a LOOOOONNNNGG TIME! The one i had tonight simply DEVINE. Some sort of pepper seasoning on the steak that came through. Nice huge serving of fresh mashed red potatoes, plenty of cream gravy to cover everything. The fried okra was on point also not over or under cooked but just right. Good tea and that nice small pellet ice perfect for slushies or just chomping on. Will deffintiley be back. Really enjoyed the smoke free...

Couldn’t resist coming in for their opening day. We loved it. I went with my favorites: fried shrimp - so plump, delicious flavor and crunchy; naked wings with no seasoning - crunchy, so good and the chicken was juicy; curly fried ex crispy - great flavor and the cole slaw was perfect. I like it more on the drier side and the flavor was so good. The staff and owners were working so hard and they were so kind. Final recommendation is….. come in and enjoy some...

Bass Capital Tavern is hands down one of my new favorite spots! The atmosphere is perfect—laid-back, welcoming, and full of good vibes.
