Eagle View Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Minneiska

Wowsers! We've not been to eagle view since we first got married...Grandma had the kids tonight so we thought we'd stop in - what an absolute delight! We started with batterfried mushrooms & batterfried cauliflower - great starters as I was starving! Then Jess had salmon, rice & asparagus and I had mignon, baked potato, salad and a side of shrimp. Needless to say it required a doggy bag/box to go home with...it was so good but yes filling!

The food was hands down the best we've had in a super long time, during covid or even pre-covid :)

But nonetheless service was phenomenal, Annie (co-owner and super sweetheart) sat down next to us and chatted while we finished a few dinner drinks and we just cannot say enough good things about our dinner there tonight. Stop in anytime, they're only a short jont from anywhere in our area - we promise you, ya won't be disappointed! -- I don't do reviews or BS so take my word this was worth telling everyone about - nice...

Worst service I’ve had in years. Screwed up our order. Ran out of steak special 45 minutes after it started. Which was the reason we went. So some ordered shrimp. Some order fish. Had everything messed up. Told us the shrimp would be a wait as 1/2 the food was served. 25 minutes later I asked the waitress why it takes 25 minutes to get our food when the order was taken wrong. She was annoyed and told us we came at a busy time, said “can’t you see we’re f’n busy? Nothing I can do l!” and totally dismissed me and walked away. The owner has the same attitude but didn’t swear. Had they told us they ran out of shrimp and needed to thaw more we would have completely understood. But zero communication on that other than it will be awhile. People can be understanding if a restaurant is honest or even discounts some of the bill. I’ll never be back. ...

We are always in such a rush to get to Winona, we speed past this gem. Thankfully we took time and stopped to view the sun over the river and we saw the Eagle View opened at 11:00. The Minnieska Burger neeged two napkins it was so juicy. Thanks Annie! Next time we will bring friends. Hopefully before your 20th...
