After hearing great things about the prime rib here, we decided to check it out. True to what we had been hearing the steak was fantastic, no doubt about it! Unfortunately all the side dishes on both plates were cold, not "not hot", but cold. The service was pretty bad as well. From what we could figure, there was one person to handle drinks for the entire place (and after getting our initial drinks she never came back), one to take orders for the entire place, and one to deliver food to all the tables. None of them could keep up. Why don't they give each person a section and have them do all three for their section? There are other places to get a decent prime rib in town, the steak itself might not be quite as good, but the sides will be warm and you'll get a salad or salad bar along with it for a good deal less money.

On the whole, in short, the steak was great; the rest will keep us...

We just moved to Bemidji and have already eaten at Lazy Jack's twice. Definitely a great place for comfort food!

I had the spicy grilled chicken sandwich and didn't know what to expect. As someone from CA who loves spicy food, I haven't had a lot of spicy food in MN. I'm happy even finding something with a kick! I loved the flavor of the sandwich, the sauce had a nice kick to it, and the chicken was tender. I would order it again.

Try the fried cheesy pickles!

The Minnesota cheesesteak comes with au jus but you really don't need it. The sandwich bun is so soft and the meat is tender and flavorful.

The staff are friendly and attentive, even when it's really busy. It's a fun environment, guests of all ages, super casual, and a family-friendly...

I ordered food several times but always forgot to take pictures. Cheeseburger 🍔 is awesome!👏 Fries are good although I disliked waffle fries (too heavy and greasy) and liked their regular fries instead. Their homemade chips are nice just too greasy for me and pulled pork sandwich was nice.

Portions soooo large I gave away food.

Whether they are busy or not you are served fast and treated politely.

I really liked the root beer they have with cane sugar and natural ingredients.Tastes good!

They use well water so drink with confidence it’s not...

Enjoyed the atmosphere. Is conveniently located just off hwy 71 going north. Close to the ski resort for winter activities and lakes. Far enough out of Bemidji that the vibe is more country. Bar and grill feel with bar centralized and variety of bar paraphernalia. Have a menu with burgers, sandwiches, wraps. And appetizers. Staff was friendly and served us quickly. Have a variety of drink options: soda, beers, liquors, hard seltzer and some wine options.

A great place to gather with friends for tasty food and your favorite drinks. The food is always good. They have daily lunch specials and some unique and flavorful menu items. Try the wonton-wrapped deep fried pickles as an appetizer. On my most recent visit, I appreciated that I could order something high in protein and low in carbs, as shown in my photo. They seem quite open to substitutions and special requests.

I lived in Bemidji for 17 years before relocating out of state 5 years ago. Today, my husband and I were driving from Iowa to Canada, and I realized that we’d be driving past Lazy Jack’s on the way. I’m thrilled to report that the Fried Cheesy Pickles and Steak Tips (medium rare) are still as great as they were 5 years ago, the bloody Mary’s are still yummy, and the service is still prompt and friendly.
