Tonight, I had specifically requested the corner table (close to the bar on the right hand side of the restaurant) that seats 6 for the 3 adults and the 2 smaller children. In addition, I requested a booth right across the table for the 3 teenagers to sit. Total being 8 people in our party. I am very much aware of the 6 person per table seating which is why I made the suggestion I did. We have done this before. I am disappointed that they could not accommodate my request for table seating and had me wait 30 mins before trying to seat me at a table that clearly was not going to accommodate our request. After trying to seat me at this table, I had asked what else they can do because it was not the table I specifically asked for. They told me I would have to wait another 30 mins before being seated to the table(s) I specifically asked for in the first place. Seriously? Another family was seated at the table I asked for and I didn’t understand how or why. When my family/friends eat here, we always ask for that table and are willing to wait if we need to. However, I just did not appreciate being told that a smaller table was the best that they can do otherwise wait 30-40 more minutes for the family that just sat down to be done. Not to mention being told by the hostess that I said something other than what I actually said. No, no, no. I know what I said because I say it every time we eat here. That part upset me the most. I don’t care about the wait or that they were not able to accommodate my request right away. I understand Friday nights are busy, I get it. There may have been some confusion with another party or something, I am going to assume. But it is rude to tell me that I didn’t say what I...
Read moreThis place is SOOOOOO TERRIBLE I don’t understand how it is still in business. The old Mi Rancho that was a staple in Bemidji for many, many years, was a ton of good quality food for cheap, as well as great service. The “New” Mi Rancho is pathetic. The food is bland, their menu has gone from a 5-6 page selection of options, to a single flip over page. Their prices have more than doubled across the board, and their portion sizes are a SICK JOKE!!! If I spend $30 for fajitas, I damn well better get more than 3 tortillas, 3 pieces of steak, 3 pieces of chicken, and 3 pieces of shrimp. The whole gimmick of Mexican resturants is that you get to always have leftovers, and it’s supposed to be reasonably priced. I’m not kidding when I say that I thought they mistakenly gave me a kids portion of my food. It was enough to make 1 large fajita, and then I had literally no meat for the other 2 tortillas. The pop was also flat, and was extremely low on syrup.
I gave this place a chance after they transferred ownership, it sucked. I waited 6 months, it still sucked. I waited another 4 years, IT HAS MANAGED TO GET EVEN WORSE.
I’ll never be eating here again until they change ownership. They clearly do not take any sort of negative feedback under consideration since almost every single negative review is in regards to all of that changes that increase their profit margin, at the expense of...

Female Manager on Duty -1
This woman was just awful. Snotty can’t even begin to describe it. My 70 yr old mother wanted a table that seated 6 for the four of us. We were having a birthday dinner for my nephew. Balloons, Birthday presents, the whole nine yards. She (manager) did not want us to have that table, my mother insisted and sat herself there anyway. If they were busy I would have understood completely, They were not busy. They had 5 tables full of patrons. They stayed not busy, when we left they were still only at half capacity if that. Upon paying for our $78 bill (included drinks and not including tip) I tried to apologize for my mother’s insistence about table choice. The woman was RUDE. She said something under her breath to me , when I said sorry due to not hearing her and asking her to repeat it, she would not. I just walked away. I would name her by name but she had no name tag on. This woman should not be in management position nor anything to do with customer relations. I’m hoping that this finds itself to her boss and if she remains in the restaurant business she has some customer skill relations...
