1986 Kitchen — Restaurant in Miramar

The atmosphere is very family-oriented. As soon as we entered we received a very warm, welcoming and friendly greeting. We didn't have to wait long for service. The restaurant was clean and tables were cleared promptly after each guest. There was no debris on the floor of the dining area. The restroom was clean, well-lighted, and well-stocked.

We placed our order at the counter. The menu was filled with delectables making it difficult to choose. The prices were good and appropriate for the menu. The cashier was very patient and accommodating as we made our selections. The food was served as ordered.

The food arrived and was served hot. It was very, very delicious. The portions were hefty leaving us with plenty for a second meal at home. My pork chop was tender and well-seasoned without being salty. The macaroni and cheese was cheesy and delicious. I couldn't resist the large shrimp on my husband's plate and it was so worth it when I sneaked one when his back was turned!!

The food was decent, but the customer service was horrible. The heavy set, brown skin cashier who took my order seems to be not fit to deal with the public. She seems to be used to dealing with people who she can talk down to. She was mean, and impatient. She literally "snapped" at me when she had to repeat "what sides I wanted with my order"? I thought the lady was crazy, or off her meds or something, especially since any reasonable cashier would know it is hard to hear anything in the restaurant with loud music blasting in the background. After I received my order, this cashier said nothing. There was no thank you, good bye, nothing! I will not be driving 30 minutes again to buy from this restaurant. She ruined...

I had to come back and make another review. I done went to this spot 2 days in a row and both times was amazing. I'm mad they closed today cause I would have went back again today. I had the fried conch Mac n cheese, yams and peas and rice and that 1986 vibe drink. It was soooo damn good. The conch was seasoned perfectly and tender. It wasn't chewy it was juicy and flavorful. The Mac n cheese was perfect and the yams was sweet and good like I like it. The peas and rice was delicious too. They have made a customer for life . They owner is very nice and provides good customer service. I would recommend this place to everybody. I have friends coming next week to see what I'm...
