a very good poke place (with consistently fresh ingredients!) that DOESN'T charge extra for imitation crab, avocado, or masago! they have less options than other establishments as far as sauce flavors, but i personally don't enjoy a bunch of flavored mayonnaise based sauces that take over all the delicious subtle flavors and textures in the bowl. they have a simple combination of 4 basic sauces and they have 3 options for mild, medium and spicy (each has a mayo based sauce too which you can get in the bowl or on the side). they also offer jasmine rice as a base in addition to white and brown rice and fresh greens (i also believe they have a chip option). Great place in the OC to stop for some quick poke and miso (complementary with your bowl). The staff was friendly and ready to take your order whenever you decided. Also there was no line, which is even better if you are one of those starving people that want to sit down and eat right away. Something I wish I knew walking in was that you get one free scoop of the avocado and crab meat. This means you can have one of each, not just one or the other. Taste is average compared to better poke places like Rollritto. Also, limited to only 3 meats unlike 5 at Rollritto, and skimpy for the 3 meats quantity in comparison to other poke restaurants that give more. Toppings are standard, limited in selection to other places that have a much bigger selection. Ginger is weird - shredded instead of slices, and wasabi isn't super hot. With medium spicy sauce, which isn't that hot either, it's got the base flavor of a poke bowl, but nowhere close to 'keep eating fast until it's gone tasty'. 3 stars to start since Rollritto nearby blows away this place for taste, quantity.
