I have been dealing with food poisoning from about 10pm last night.
Four of us dined in the restaurant last night. They had one laminated one page menu. The print was so tiny I could barely read it under the dim light above our table. I used the QR code to pull up the menu on my phone. My husband realized he had lost his phone at that moment. He and his brother took my phone to map the location of my husbands phone. That left my mother-in-law and I with her flip phone while they left to find his phone.
I asked our waiter if they had a bigger menu or something with a large screen. My mother-in-law could not read the menu even with her reading glasses. I was trying to read it to her but she really wanted something she could read herself. He very nicely stated they did not. But did not offer any suggestions for us.
We ordered the artichoke and cheese dip with chips as an appetizer. We were ordering our dinners as my husband and his brother arrived back at the table. The manager came over to apologize about the small menu that is just a transitional menu until they get their new ones.

Read moreSo Amazing, I grew up on this food and have been here over 300 times seriously.... That's just in the last 10 years before that, I used to come in with friends before closing to get Tiramisu & Chocolate Milk, 4-6 times a week not included in my official count... Unfortunately they took my favorite desert off the menu like so many other things since I was a little kid I lost, this tiramisu loss hurt the most, it's not like any other on earth and can't make it like they do, even with the 3 Official CPK cookbooks I they also took so many other things I love and are irreplaceable like, Focaccia bread, Mediterranean spring rolls, black bean southwestern quesadillas, chicken Caesar sandwich on focaccia bread, tuna sandwich on focaccia bread, tandoori chicken pizza, the original House bread and butter. If I could have one back I would definitely want the focaccia bread back as an appetizer but that's not up to me, I hope they make the right choice to bring it back because they do have the ingredients to make it!!!!!!! Read moreLong time CPK customer but first time at Mission Viejo. On a Saturday afternoon, we were greeted by a friendly hostess with a smile who sat us promptly. Waitress Macy was excellent, she made a few menu recommendations and we took her up on it. The dynamite shrimp for starters were a perfect appetizer, could have been a main meal. My wife had a lunch combo of pizza and salad, once again Macy recommended the salad dressing and it was perfect, not something my wife would have normally ordered. I tried the burger, I know CPK isn't a burger joint, but this West Coast version with bacon was fantastic. Manager Patrick stopped by our table to check on things, nice touch, no complaints whatsoever. Couldn't help but notice the large staff on duty and everybody seemed to be busy doing something, like a well oiled machine cranking out the orders. Looking around at other tables, big appetites, big plates that everybody cleaned up! We were traveling on this day from points north, kind of wish our local CPK was as nice as the one in Mission Viejo, job well...
