My reviews are 100% authentic and real. So here it goes. If this is your first time going here the first thing I can say is there are three exit doors but you enter in the very front facing the street. The girl who took our order was pleasant, but did make me feel nervous as she was very fidgety. My mimosa was extremely strong and tasted more like 98% champagne 2% OJ. I literally sipped just enough to wash down food and then downed a bottle of water in the car. On to the food. The menu inside is not the same as the one online. The food we ordered is reflected on the newer version. My husband ordered 2 eggs over easy, sausage meatballs, smash-browns, and biscuits and gravy. I did try a bite of the smash-browns and can tell you they are a must have! I ordered 2 eggs over easy, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy. I wished I had requested Xtra crispy on the bacon as only the top piece was to my liking. The other two pieces could have cooked a little bit longer. They were done, just not crispy and I can't eat bacon that is a texture like that. The potatoes were good and the biscuits and gravy have I believe Cajun seasoning in them so beware of you have heat sensitivity, they are warm! We opted to eat outside since it was such a beautiful morning. The table could have been cleaned better but it was nice. You do pay before you get your food and if you pay by CC it does ask you for a tip. I found it odd since I prefer to tip based upon the level of service I receive and this was our first time there. The cashier seemed upset that my husband only hit the 10% tip button. What you see in the pictures cost $46 after taxes and tip. In my opinion it was a little pricey for what we received.

Absolutely horrible. Delivered via Uber Eats- Keep in mind that I live in Springhill about 1 minute from their location. Ordered the Squawking Goat, and it was cold- like straight out of the refrigerator cold; the chicken had a chill to it and was soggy. It looked and tasted like you might imagine horrible gas station chicken would taste that's been in the fridge for 3 days...The biscuit was like hard tack, and the goat cheese was burned...but COLD. Again, like had been refrigerated cold. They obviously prepare their food way in advance and put it in the fridge until it's ordered, and then don't even make an effort to toss it in the microwave prior to serving. Then, when I called them to ask if it was their policy to serve soggy, chewy, hard, sub par, food that isn't suitable for my dog to eat, the manager gave a slew of utterly ridiculous excuses, and then proceeded to blame my Uber delivery driver which is a total crock of bull. It was less than 10 minutes between the time my order was ready and delivered- which I might add that the manager admitted that it takes them less than 5 minutes to make this biscuit, but assured me that it was absolutely fresh. Not sure what individual is cooking their food, but they are a freaking magician because that is impressive if they can fry chicken, goat cheese, and assemble a biscuit in FIVE minutes or less and it be FRESH. Thanks, MSBC, you should charge gas station prices for gas station quality food, and you should probably hire someone to represent your company that doesn't make excuses for not doing their job, and that isn't a rude liar.

Been looking forward to trying this place and left somewhat disappointed. Not sure where to start but here goes. Walked in and the place was clean and the people working were friendly. It was interesting to have your order called out according to your favorite band. The sweet tea was also very good. The food is where I have mixed feelings. We ordered two of the Squawking Goat Biscuits and two teas, price $25.xx. The biscuit was on the average size and over cooked, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp indefinitely. Not impressed when the name of the place has biscuit in it. Next the chicken and goat cheese were good but nothing really special. The pepper jelly though was on spot, with just enough spice, I couldn’t get enough of it, but I didn’t come for the jelly. The price of nearly $10 for the biscuit was, I felt, a little steep. It came alone with no sides, a helping of hash browns or some other breakfast side would complete the meal. At $25+ for two biscuits and drinks it needed a little something more. The building itself is open and everything seems very loud as there seems to be nothing to absorb the sound. If the garage doors were open it would probably help. Bottom line, will I go again? Probably to give it another chance but it will not be a regular on my short list.

Mobile location of popular southern chain. Breakfast and lunch from a menu mostly consisting of biscuit sandwiches and biscuits with gravy with a few other options thrown in. almost all of the biscuit items include some form of chicken, from eggs to boneless pieces. Two different gravies-sausage and shitake mushroom. Also serving house made jams and jellies. We arrived for breakfast and were behind two or three people. Everything looked very clean. Immediately noticed the fresh oj machine on the counter then in the next second heard the young lady at the counter tell the person in front of her that the oranges we saw going into the machine were “no good” and they were just juicing “to get rid of them”. Not serving oj. Disappointing. After some experiences recently with dishes and sauces being too spicy for our taste on this trip, we chose to inquire here before placing our order. The nice woman tells us they do use a bit of hot sauce and a bit of cayenne in both gravies. Well as we thought this over, because we did want more than just a biscuit with jelly but not a sandwich with chicken for breakfast, she suggested she could put the gravy on the side and we could try it that way. Which we decided to do, trying both kinds of gravy. Also one extra biscuit with just jam. We were told it was “berry” jam today. She then asked us the question of the day-“whose most likely to burn the Thanksgiving turkey? “. I said “me, of course.” That answer became what the staff would call out when our order was ready. Cute gimmick.

When we received our order, we could not help but stare at the much too big for the size of the biscuits sides of gravy we received. It was probably 4 ounces at least of gravy to each biscuit. These biscuits were about the size around of a one cup measuring cup and maybe inch and a half thick. You could have buried them in the cup of gravy. I’m pretty sure they waste a lot of gravy here. Upon tasting the gravies, we felt very fortunate that we had asked about the spice level. Sausage and Shitake were much too hot for either of us to eat in any quantity and any minute amount we chose to try was followed by copious amounts of water. We are very low (like -2) on the spice tolerance so many may find them tastier than we did. Just not for us. The biscuits themselves were delicious, light, buttery and fresh. Jams was flavorful if a bit runny and they did supply us with more when we asked due to spice level of the gravy. I also asked if they had honey and the kitchen staff member said, in a hushed tone, “not to give out but you could use the pitcher with the coffee, I won’t tell”. Glad I did because it was the perfect compliment, IMO, to these biscuits. Try it. While we felt the price was high and throwing out so much gravy ridiculous, with the lay of the land now we would try them again here or at another location. Especially with some fresh...

Hi, I’m Joel, and my wife Felacia and I are customers at the new Maple Biscuit location in Mobile, AL. We just wanted to write a quick note about how awesome the food is, first of all. How long have we dreamed of a Shangri-La of Breakfast in our area, where we can have an early or late-morning wake-up meal? We finally found it at Maple Biscuit. My wife was in yesterday with her sister, and back today with me (we live forty-five minutes away, mind you!). It is always worth the trip.

What makes Maple Biscuit so special is not only great food, but the staff. They are delightful! They are always pleasant, smiling, and extremely helpful. We were eating today, and had a great conversation with Lauren, one of the managers at the Mobile location. Lauren is an excellent manager, along with the other managers, which is clear by the demeanor of the staff. They seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs, and that is very refreshing. Felacia has brought nearly every one of her friends to the MB, and several of her family, and we even brought my mom and my sister when they were in town visiting us from New Orleans.

You may wonder why I am writing all of this.

I think in a world where it is common practice to highlight the negative, especially in reviews of products, restaurants, and everything in between, it is imperative that those of us who appreciate a certain business, a person, a corporation, or a product celebrate it when it is exceptional. And Felacia and I think what you guys are doing as a business is exceptional! We enjoy your food (Bam Yo-Yo for me), we love your friendly staff, and we appreciate the excellence in which you do what you do. I’m sure you get negative reviews and comments on this and other locations at times, but I hope you don’t let it deter you from what you do or the unique way that you do it.

And that being said, I really only have one major complaint: why don’t you have a location where we live, “Across the Bay” as we Lower Alabamians call it, in Daphne, or Fairhope, or Spanish Fort. It would save us a tremendous amount of gas, since Felacia drives to Mobile to eat at Maple Biscuit at least once a week, often more. I’m really just kidding, but I’m serious too. We’d love to have MB over across Mobile Bay one day.

Thanks for doing what you do, and doing it well.

Joel and Felacia Woods
