I ate nearby at a different restaurant and wanted a bit of dessert after. I'm a big fan of the McDonald's ice cream cone, so I decided to come here to get one.
The interior of this McDonald's is like so many others that have been updated recently. The floors are uniform grey ceramic tiles, the chairs, booths, and tables all look new, and the drop ceiling looks to be recently changed, as well. Lighting consists of recessed and suspended fixtures, both of which were also well supplemented by the natural light from the many windows. It's a typical new McDonald's, nothing crazy about it.
I only wanted my ice cream cone and proceeded to one of the kiosks to order it. The kiosk wouldn't let me pay and ended up cancelling the order three times, so I ended up ordering from the counter. Came to find out this location doesn't do all day breakfast and they'd gotten a few orders for breakfast past the appointed time for it to end from the kiosk. The apparent solution to this was to shut the kiosk off all together. I don't get it - wouldn't you want people to continue ordering lunch from the kiosks?
I ended up waiting for longer than five minutes for my ice cream cone. I wasn't really upset, as it's a lazy Saturday morning for me. I did get a front fow seat while waiting to the manager and employees yelling at each other over everything from breaks to issues with orders and various staffing issues. It all seemed quite unprofessional - both the yelling and the fact that it was right there for all to hear.
I only got my ice cream cone after another employee noticed me waiting and asked what I needed. After I told him I was waiting for my cone, he went and made it for me immediately. This was probably the one bright spot during my visit.
Also, the cone tasted like a normal McDonald's ice cream cone. No complaints there.
This place should probably spend a little bit of time and introspection figuring out basic things like the technology that runs their kiosks and basic respect between coworkers. I have no plans to return - I can get a McDonald's ice cream cone much closer to home without the discomfort from the cacophony of employees yelling...
Read moreI went to the McDonald's drive though on Avenue of the cities in moline, il around 10:00pm with my daughter and waited in line for 10 minutes without a single car moving. I decide to pull out of line and go inside to order not knowing I would have the worst experience in a McDonald's in my life. I ordered a double cheeseburger, 4 nuggets and 2 small fries. There wasn't anyone on the line making food and employees were walking around doing nothing. I then waited another 15 min before asking for a manager to get a refund. The manager, Nemasis Whiting, approaches the counter informing me I cannot get food and my money back. Instead of asking me what the problem and/or concern may be and why I want a refund, she approaches with a attitude. I ask for a refund politely because half my order was already in a bag getting cold while the other half wasn't even been made yet. She continues to tell me that I need to stop recording her and she will not refund my money until I delete the video. I told her I was not recording her and to give my money back. She proceeds to say it's illegal to record her and calls the police on me. The police show up and informs her that it is not illegal to take video and asks her to return my money. She refuses to give me my refund until I delete this "so called" video of her. The police then ask to view my gallery which I show them willingly to prove I did not have any video of her. The police talks Nemasis Whiting into finally giving me my refund. My daughter and I leave the store 45 minutes later after dealing with a very rude and ill mannered manager (Nemasis Whiting), police encounter and absolutely no food. This experience should have never of happened and Nemasis Whiting should not be the face of McDonald's. It was the most horrible experience and the worst customer service I've ever had to encounter. Even the other customers in the store were asking her to give me my refund so I can leave. Needless to say I will never be returning to that...
Read moreI will NEVER come back to this McDonald's and I only live a block away. I've had nothing but issues here the last few months but after today I'm done! Ordered a Big Mac through the app at 4:48 pm just a Big Mac, nothing else. We got there 5 minutes later, I checked in that I was there and sent my son in to get his sandwich from the counter. After sitting in my car for 15 minutes and watching over 10 cars go through the drive thru, I go in to see what's taking so long. It said the food was ready for over 5 mins but nobody bought it out. I finally said "Hello, I ordered 1 sandwich over 20 minutes ago and it said it was done 5 minutes ago can I please get my food?" Young lady at the counter had an attitud, rolled her eyes, and kept smacking her lips at me. They were mad at me for asking for my food because they gave it to the wrong person. Her and the guy making the sandwhies (must be her boyfriend or they like each other because they were flirting the whole time) stared me down the whole time he made it so my son didn't even eat it because I felt like he did something to it. I finally left at 5:06 28 minutes for ONE Big Mac! There are a bunch of rude, ghetto people working here. They don't have time to make your food because they are too busy trying to play house. I recommend driving the extra mile or two down to the East Moline one which is where I went after this to get a new sandwich. Never any issues and great customer service there. Also, I have complained to corporate several times about this store but they basically say it's a franchise and the owners just don't care! I've left my name and number with corporate several times for a call back from the owners and never once have I received a call back not even from a manager. I guess when people stop coming here and they start losing money, they'll care but it will be too late! Seriously avoid this McDonald's at...
