We used to eat here every single week. We would buy the buckets of tortellini. The sauce was always on top of the noodles inside of the bucket. We would shake the bucket up to mix all the with the noodles before opening it. When we opened our bucket one week it ended up being spaghetti and not tortellini. We went back to the store with it to get our correct order and the owner rudely accused us of having eaten some of the food and then trying to return it. We explained to her we had mixed it before opening it. Mind you, this is after us ordering takeout every single week, on the same day, at the same time as we picking it up after a class we had each week. They always ask for your last name when you order carryout, so you would think she would have recognized the name, if not our faces with us in there every week. I would expect them to treat their loyal customer base a little bit better than that. We had never complained in the past. We will never ever go back to either location. The owner is extremely rude and seems to think it's some sort of privilege to eat at her restaurant I guess. She has horrible customer service. There's an older man that works there that is an absolute sweetheart however. It's a shame because their food was very good. But I prefer parmesan on my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really like the grinder's and spaghetti house, and I usually go to the one near where I live, but the one on avenue of the cities in Moline IL is really great too. I go to the Jackson Hewitt over in Moline to get my taxes done, and I can stop in at the restaurant after I get done with the tax place. I especially like the fresh bread and the small "extra" sauce. I usually dip the bread in the sauce, or I spoon it onto the bread and it is something quick to have while I try to figure out what else to fix for my meal. It is not something that I can do a lot, but when I can afford the calories, I will have that to eat as a quick bite. I also get the cinnamon bread sometimes, but I can put butter and garlic powder on the fresh bread and put it into the toaster oven to make my own. I have to watch the spicy stuff and that way I don't get too much. I hope people will check out any of their restaurants and find out for themselves just how great a place it is to...
