In the hangrist state of hunger possible… we drove through this town while staying at a near by campground. Every eatery was a bar. This state doesn’t have a no smoking indoors ordinance. Then we came across a metal building that did not look promising. We knew we had to give it a try….there was at least 10 cars in the parking area. We were pessimisticly hopeful! Ha so glad we went in!!! The interior was bright , cheerful, clean, fresh, no carpet, and cold!! We picked our table and were immediately asked gor our drink order. On my way to Colorado and Monroe City was my first stop. I wanted to enjoy my trip and not stress out. Upon arriving at Monroe City I set up at my hotel which is also reviewed. Casa tequila Mexican restaurant was a great choice! My margarita was amazing and broke the tension of driving 400 miles. I had the street tacos of course. We paid almost $30 for queso dip, 2 sodas and 2 VERY VERY small plates of chicken with cheese. When I called I asked for a pollo con queso meal which would traditionally come with rice and beans they said it would be read in 10 or 15 minutes. When I recieved the food and opened it there was nothing but a small amount of chicken and cheese and 3 tortillas. They also didnt send silver ware and when I called back they explained to me that they didnt have a meal like that but did not tell me this at the time that I ordered. Horrible customer service.
