We decided to stop and try this establishment. First walking in the atmosphere was okay. I got the buffet my fiancĂ© got their grilled chicken breast homemade Alfredo sauce âspecialâ. The buffet was not great. The pork tenderloin was dry and resembled more of a tofu than anything else. The ribs were okay most of the food on the table was like warm. The green beans were the best part of everything. Unfortunately everything tasted as if it came from a can. The chili tasted like the can of off brand chili you get for chili dogs when you donât feel like cooking for your kids on a late Monday night. The âspecial â was MASSIVE!!! It was a huge amount of pasta. Enough food where two people could have eaten it and still had left overs. But the bread sticks tasted like it was from the previous day and was heated up by chef Mike âthe microwaveâ the grilled chicken breast was definitely from a can. Itâs not grilled chicken if itâs from a can. Is it even chicken? My fiancĂ© took about 3 bites and we took it back to the campsite and gave it to our dog. The dog loved it, but then again the dog also likes to eat kitty box crunchies. I would not advice going here at all. Maybe if it was actual home cooked food or maybe even if it was good. I would expect this type of food from a church carry in that people made an hour before service because they forgot. If your looking for massive amounts of food that is cheap and maybe better than your mother in laws pumpkin soup then go here! If you want to eat something that does not taste like regurgitating unseasoned...
Read moreThis was our first time dining here and it was on a Saturday for the brunch buffet. We arrived there around noon. When we arrived it was moderately busy and it took a few minutes for a waitress to seat us. Then we sat for over 10 minutes waiting for a waitress to at least take our drink order. We had to flag one of the two waitresses down and ask if she was going to wait on us and she said she would have to check to see who is helping us. This was not a good first impression. The food was ok at best. The fried chicken was ok but you had better like dark meat because there was no white meat chicken at all in the pan that was full. Just thighs and legs and I did dig through the whole pan. The tater tots were just crumbs not tots anymore and they tasted like they were fried in very old grease. Now the Mac and cheese was good as was the green beans and mashed potatoes. The pasta salad and potato salad were good as well. We were there long enough that they switched to the lunch buffet and put out some ribs. I tried a couple of ribs and they had a good flavor and fell off the bone. My wife said the French toast and bacon was good. I will be willing to give them another try but probably not for the brunch buffet. The price was great for the value and the...
Read moreI would like to start by saying I don't normally leave bad reviews, I just choose not to go back but I felt that I needed to say something regarding the dessert but since it was the last thing, we'll start from the beginning. The service was prompt and welcoming, the server was friendly and knew her regulars by name. The offer a buffet at a pretty affordable price ($11.50). I did not partake in the buffet myself but my 3 year old was truly infatuated with the macaroni. I ordered a country fried steak that came with a choice of potato, a soup or salad and a dinner roll. The cfs did not come with the dinner roll. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant mash. The salad was just 2 cucumber slices and 4 cherry tomatoes on a bed of lettuce. I ordered a piece of carrot cake and took 2 bites and it was safe to say it was stale. This is the part that upset me the most because it's extremely evident that they are not dating their desserts. When I informed the waitress, she apologized but the cake remained on the bill. I'm not going to argue about $5 but I assure you this, I will not be returning and if they aren't dating the desserts that are in eye view of guests, I can only imagine the expired food that comes out of their...
