The Dugout Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Monroe City

I really wanted to like this place. Heard positive things. I decided to give them a try for the first time, and I am seriously disappointed. I ordered a cheeseburger and The “Batter Up” appetizer for take out. Every single thing that comes with the Batter Up was so over cooked I could not eat a single thing. This was a $10 item. NOTHING was edible. Tried calling to see if they could make it right, and of course no body will answer the phone. I’m not happy! The positive part is the person who got the burger said it was decent, however his order of fries were over cooked and burnt. Also, not edible. So for $20 plus dollars AND a tip, we got a cheeseburger out of it....

Went for drinks, pizza & gambling. Was informed the gambling machines were actually for recreation and they didn't have to payout any winnings. Yet the machines have winning ticket printouts. I wonder what the machine owners think of that. Anyway, after many former nights going for pizza & beer, we're done. The treatment from the employees upon attempting to cash in the small winnings, were downright rude and combative. Word will get around. They need to return the machines to the company they're renting them from, since the machines are such a financial burden. A quick course in customer service and etiquette...

Came here on a Monday afternoon hoping to get a quick meal. We sat down and the waitress took at least 20 minutes just to get our drinks. Then once we had ordered it we waited at least 40 minutes for our food to come out, keep in mind they were not busy at all, the cooks were just walking around not doing anything it seemed. Then once the food was out we took one bite and could not force ourselves to eat anymore ( we had grilled chicken) so we got up paid for our food and left. And to top it all of they still have smoking indoors and lots of it! I have never had this bad of an experience at...
