Went up to see a friend and decided we would try a small place to eat on the water. First the environment, it was a nasty, dingy, smoke saturated biker bar, not the family restaurant we thought it would be. Next we couldn't find a table anywhere to sit so we went outside on the deck out back on the water. It was a little bit chilly this particular day and they had one heater on the back turned on. To try and keep myself and my family warm I slid a table closer to the heater. A few moments after I did that and was just starting to settle in and feel welcomed at this establishment some guy walks out (maybe the manager, or the owner) whoever he was he was very rude and asked me if I got close enough to the heater to get a sun tan?! So rather than just get up and walk out like we wanted to after his very rude comment we decided to order something so we didn't get chased outside with flaming pitchforks and angry bikers following us. Big mistake, we should've risked it and just left. Our experience only got worse from there. We ordered some super nachos off their menu for a snack hoping our remainder of time at this place would improve. Nope. After waiting an eternity for our nachos the waitress brings out the sadness excuse for a plate of nachos, the chips were stale, the cheese wasn't even fully melted and what was melted was stuck firmly to the bottom of the plate. All in all our experience was terrible from literally start to finish. We ate what we could stomach of the awful nachos and finally understood that all their good reviews must've been from completely drunk people that have no idea what good food looks or tastes like. We were extremely disappointed with the entire experience and honestly would give this establishment zero or negative stars if I could. Just when you think man, this place can't get any worse, as we are leaving disappointed and utterly dissatisfied it got worse, the same rude, creepy guy that came out back and made his smart comment about us getting a sun tan because we moved a table to try and stay warm FOLLOWED us outside like some criminals. To say we will never return is the understatement of the century, not only will we never ever return, but we will always tell our friends, family, acquaintances and people we don't even know to AVOID this establishment at...
Read moreIf you are a person of color, or just intelligent never go here! As I walked in, wearing an anti-Trump shirt, I might add, all the waitresses conversed with one another or many white men. I waited for about 5 minutes thinking this must be a fluke. Yeah right! My "waitress" finally came over and asked what I wanted to drink. I ordered, got my drink soon after. She never asked if I wanted a menu, so I looked it up online. I had to ask another waitress about 15 minutes later, as I was ready to order, beyond ready. My so called waitress heard me and swooped in. I ordered, wrong order received, check, rude waitress, check. My "waitress" continued to converse with other staff and patrons as I saw my order being delivered to the bar. I tried getting any waitstaff's attention, to no avail. This place is a joke, you may say that they have one or two black people working there, so they're not racist. Funny, sounds like token peeps to me. This place should be shut down, not only because of the people that work there, but also because of the '70's vibe lounge. It looks as though it hasn't been cleaned up since then. I implore the health department to make an audit of this...
Read moreDefinitely the best Bar/Restaurant in the Monroe area. They have an excellent menu that varies from everything you'd expect to find from a pizza place. Pizza, grinders, salads etc. They also have burgers, chicken tenders and a huge assortment of other means and appetizers which are all quite delicious and made fresh in house. They've expanded their property/building over the years and it's a quite large establishment now. You can play pool and even volleyball next door I believe. It's got an amazing, huge back deck with an outdoor bar for all your drinking needs. It has a huge boat dock that's connected to Lake Erie so you can get done fishing in the spring and summer, pull your boat right up to the dock and get served immediately, I love this feature that they have. Perfect for a hot, sunny afternoon or a warm evening drinking and eating with your friends or family. I highly recommend going here if you're looking for a great time and a friendly atmosphere. As far as bars go this place is quite relaxed and not an environment where there's often drunks looking to pick fights. This is definitely the wrong place to try and be a drunken bad a$$...
