Side Track Saloon — Restaurant in Monroe

I’d never seen this place in my life but when I saw it I knew I had to drop in.

I came in through the front door, had a seat at the bar and got two things immediately: a friendly greeting and a cold beer.

Flatscreens had sports on, NASCAR and Lion’s football (it was Sunday after all), with a few regulars watching the action.

I finished my beer, had another, then it was time to go. Turns out the owner was at the bar as well. He shook my hand, asked me where I was from, then pronounced me a Sidetrack regular. (He also said his regulars use the side entrance, not the front door, so out the side door I went. 🙂)
