Waffle House — Restaurant in Monroe

Went to breakfast this morning and stopped at this Waffle House. I pass this restaurant every day going in & out of Monroe. The food was expertly prepared, the restaurant was clean and the service was stellar! All the employees are friendly, courteous and, above all, competent. My wife & I had eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, waffles & coffee. The check came to around $20. This was the finest breakfast we have had in the entire area. We plan on repeat breakfasts at this Waffle House from this time forward. Their parking lot is always crowded...There is a reason for that!!!!! Phil Caterina

Went back, again, 2 weeks later....This Waffle House was HOPPIN'. Food, again, was excellent; service, again, was fantastic and the ENTIRE staff makes you feel welcome and important. Like my other review, there is a reason this place is ALWAYS HOPPIN'. My wife & I stopped going to IHOP & Cracker Barrel. The food, service, atmosphere & price are much better...

First of all it took 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. Then the waitress Victoria came took our drink order. My daughter said the tea was bad so she wanted some thing else. Finally got a different drink and there was junk all of cup in the inside. We returned it. No I’m sorry or nothing. She Never brought us another drink. Then we got our food after another 15 min to find hair in my wife’s food. Again no sorry or anything. We asked if they can remake it and bring it out in a to go box. She said sure. Never got the food!!! We asked about it and voiced my concerns she said well I’ll tel u what I’ll give you a discount. We love very close to this store and we can never go back as long as there is no one there to make sure they do their job correctly and efficiently. The floors were a mess and the tables have not been properly cleaned. I’m very sad to see Waffle House allow this store to be this bad....

So I stop in with my son to have a bite to eat and as I'm sitting in the booth I hear the cook whose name is Jacob speaking to the two waitresses in the nastiness tone. Me I'm never one to complain but the way he was talking to these girls was so demoralizing and disrespectful in front of customers. I continue to eat and about midway through my meal this guy still hasn't let up on the girls waitress. So I ask to speak with the manger I assume his name was Kenny really nice guy he promised he was going to have a conversation with Jacob the cook who obviously had some kind of power trip going on today. I wasted 20.00 on a plate I couldn't even eat because he ruined my whole appetite with his rudeness!! Go somewhere else and work so you can be by yourself....
