Baked With Love — Restaurant in Monroeville

I went to a tasting with my daughter and future son in law for their wedding cake. The bakery is DIVINE! Nicole the owner/ baker was magnificent! The bakery items are baked fresh daily and there are lots of gluten free options. Everything looked delicious and decorated beautifully. Nicole worked closely with the couple, even grabbing her cake pans to stack so they could get an idea of how big a cake they would get. Nicole was so friendly and hospitable. We were talking for some time, way off topic from cakes, lol! It was like talking to someone you've known for some time. I will be going to Baked with Love for anything big or small. It is apparent that the business name speaks volumes and the passion for baking is present in everything. Take a trip to check out Baked with Love, it's worth the time. Owner reached out after reading my review and apologized plus made the situation right. She wanted me to know this is not acceptable for her business. She puts out quality items and what I purchased was not up to her standards. Good customer service goes a long way. I certainly wasn’t expecting that as everything else I tried was excellent. Tried this place for the first time yesterday. Was excited. Got a cupcake, a gob and a dozen ladylocks. The cupcake and gob was very good. Went to eat the lady locks and icing is only at the ends. More 4.5 than 5. 5 stars on taste, 4.5 stars on the cake decoration. Very pretty store. They serve all the deliciousness you can imagine. The cake I ordered is very good, one of the best Bavarian creams I've had and the almond batter is moist and very good. There is something that doesn't convince me on the decoration or cakes. I've seen all the pictures of the cakes they have made and the thing that I think I'm not in love with is the writing and the outlines or lines in general. They are a bit wobbly and the icing is uneven in some sections. Everyone I've talked to is very nice and friendly and the whole experience was positive. Parking is plenty when there isn't an even at the catering place next door otherwise you'll likely have some problems finding a spot.
