If you're looking for a hearty and delicious breakfast in Big Sky, look no further than Cafe 191. The chicken-fried steak! This dish is a true Montana masterpiece. The steak itself is tender and juicy, perfectly breaded and fried to a golden crisp. The gravy is rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of pepper to give it a kick. And the sides? Don't even get me started on the fluffy biscuits and tasty hash browns. They're the perfect complement to the star of the show. This breakfast is guaranteed to leave you satisfied and ready to tackle a day of exploring Big Sky's beautiful scenery. Just be sure to come hungry, because the portions are generous!

Service is slow but the vibe is right. Also we came at around 9am on a Saturday of Presidents’ Day week and we’re able to be seated right away which is awesome. Compliments to the chef he came out and interacted with our daughter twice really personable guy. The food was solid coffee was decent as well. I wasn’t a huge fan of the quinoa but then again I dont really like quinoa figured it was the best ski food. The eggs Benedict was incredible plan on getting the crab eggs Benedict tomorrow. Keep up the great work fun place with some awesome stores in the strip mall next to it. Bonus!: they sell women’s clothing and have gambling machines

Loved this place! Visiting from out of state, and staying in town. This was the perfect place to stop for breakfast. Staff was EXTREMELY friendly! Our server Dacia was extremely kind and super helpful! She introduced herself and another waiter that was from the same state as us. Food was extraordinary! Some of the best biscuits and gravy I’ve had. For a lower price, the portions were huge. Especially the pancakes! Super good, all hot and tasty. They were just a bit busy so there was a wait. But it was worth it! Whenever I’m back in Big Sky, I will absolutely be sure to return!!

I noticed this spot on my way to a campsite & knew I had to stop for lunch. I don’t usually write reviews, but this place stood out for its unparalleled service & atmosphere, along with their excellent coffee and food! I got the salmon sandwich with cheese, bacon, & huckleberry aioli etc. It was phenomenal! Cooked perfectly, excellent flavor, and my mac & cheese side was the best mac I’ve had at a restaurant. I’m glad I asked for extra huckleberry aioli because it’s going on my toast tomorrow morning. It isn’t just the food that grants this place 5 stars. I’ve worked in restaurants for many years & have never seen a team appear to be so coordinated. I saw every employee tend the restaurant in one way or another. The servers would stop at tables that weren’t even theirs to check on the customers. Angie was my waitress & she was so pleasant, made me excellent coffee, and was just incredibly enjoyable to have a conversation with. It was clear she cared about her job & the customers. Rick, the manager on duty, was warm & friendly. He carried an air that told me he was in charge, but it was very welcoming. I live on the road and encounter many small cafes everywhere I go, yet have never had a more pleasant experience than at Cafe 191. All the servers, (Angie, Casey, and another younger girl) were so attentive as I observed their service. I sat there for a couple hours doing computer work & almost every employee came to talk to me, making me feel even more welcome. This place is an absolute must-visit & l will be happily returning soon. Next time you stop in ask for servers Angie or Casey, as their delightful energy made...

Don't eat here, it's overpriced and mostly canned food. I truly believe that its an attempt to scam tourists out of their money. My kid ordered the overpriced biscuits and gravy, the gravy came from a can and tasted like bacon grease slop. Most the food was gross, cold or underwhelming. It took over an hour to get our food, and they weren't that busy. Even getting our drinks took forever and the server didn't seem to come around that much. When we got our food someone at my table asked to order an additional drink, they didn't get it until over halfway thru finishing the meal, the server even admitted she kept forgetting the drink. Someone also asked if it would be a wait if she ordered an additional pancake and the server said it wouldn't be worth it. I almost thought maybe we were being grumpy, not happy about the service and speed but then I heard a group of guys at the next table complaining about the length of time it took to get their drinks.. When their food finally came one guy exclaimed, "I paid X dollars for this??" Right before leaving my wife and daughter used the bathroom, in the walk they walked past their open storage room, so many canned foods. Also the signs reading "$10 food/$5 Drinks" doesn't seem to be legit. Few other prices in case your wondering: $18 for any omelet (even ham and cheese) $21 for country fried steak on a biscuit $23 for steak and eggs (Steak was fatty and gross) $17 for Biscuits and (canned) gravy $5 for side of 2 eggs $6 for side of 1...

Me and my girlfriend went in for brunch and chose to sit outside. The server seemed friendly at first and being local we were excited to try a new place close to home. We chose to order only one entree a burger with fries and a side salad. The server immediately seemed bugged and said multiple times “is that all you are going to order”. He then repeated our order back to us and it went downhill from there. We weren’t talked to until the food was brought out and the burger did not come with the side of fries. When I said we didn’t get our fries I was told that I didn’t order any but that he would grab us some. When he was bringing the fries to our table we watched him pick up and eat multiple fries… He even said “don’t mind my snacking”. He didn’t say anything else to us for the rest of our visit. And even ignored my thank you when he brought me the check talking to another table the whole time. I was frustrated with the situation and asked another server who the manager was only to find out our server that treated us like that was the manager. I attempted to confront him only to be told “mistakes happen”. I was very frustrated and nothing was done to remedy the situation. I was told walking away “see you next time” and “thank you come again” just trying to rub the terrible experience in my face. Absolutely terrible service. Will not be back and will make sure never to...
