The frond door of Grub Steak displayed a sign, that they were seeking help in almost every part of the restaurant. That being said, I went in with the notion that it may be a lackluster visit. The facility itself earned a majority of the stars given. Garage style doors and windows that lead to the patio, faced west into the setting sun. We were there before sunset, but I assume it would have been a sight to behold. And then it all fell apart. It was seat yourself, and we did. We sat....... and sat........ and sat. We lost count of how many trips the server made right past our table without eye contact, almost like he was knowingly avoiding us. It was 25 minutes before we were even acknowledged, let alone offered some water, given menus or drink orders taken. Not even a "Hey, we'll be with you in a moment." Finally, someone did come over and take our drink order. We tried to place our food order at that time, but the young man seemed distracted and hurried away from the table. There was a cowboy sitting at the table next to us trying to get someone's attention, but he had to actually get up and run someone down like he was roping doggies to get his coffee and water. It's now 40 minutes into our visit and we were just about to leave cash on the table for our sodas, when the young man came back to take our food order. The bar area had cleared out by then, so we were optimistic that the food service would be a tad quicker that the introduction portion of our evening was. I couldn't be more wrong. We are now 65 minutes in and were told that the food should be right out. Tex, the Cowboy just finished his potato and I think it was a steak. Could have been his boot heel, it was hard to tell. He looked at us with a grin, laid down some cash and strolled out. With the wait time of a fine dining restaurant in some metropolitan mecca, the food was making it's way too us. I almost anticipated fanfare, but no, just a "Here ya go." Now I wish I could say it was the best Reuben sandwich, but I could tell it had been sitting some time. Then top toasted price of rye was nice and crisp, but it's mate down under had soaked up all the juices from meat, sauce and kraut. And the fries, oh the fries....colder than my ex. Oh, and a little Johnny's Seasoning can do wonders. My wife on the other hand had the chicken strip basket, and well, we could have gone through the Dairy Queen drive thru 10 times and received better service and chicken, by the time we exited the doors. Going in, I had high hopes for Grub Steak, and maybe it was just a bad night, but unfortunately, there wasn't enough positive attributes to give it a...

Read moreI have gotten very sick from eating here before, its clear they either don’t take food borne illness seriously or just have bad turnover or both. I actually gave them multiple chances at earning my loyalty back since I’m nearby and there are limited options for food, but it seems to get worse each time I try again. I won’t be back in the future unless they alter their company policies. The service used to be great honestly, and they would even remember my order as a regular customer and have stuff very dialed in over the phone, but I won’t be returning after today- sat down with my family and 1 1/2 year old child and got settled to eat, my kid got restless so I decided to show her around the restaurant to calm her down and simply explore. I went over to the north-side of the place to explore with her, after a few moments I was rudely told to leave that side of the restaurant that was completely unmarked as 21+ only and that was the reason they claimed to usher us out... There was total lack of notice by the waitress or signage inside the restaurant to dictate this no kid “border” and the “family” side we were on felt more like a casino and bar and had all the same things as the other side which was actually nicer and much more open.. and also had the casino on the “family” side. Guess we know its just f* them kids...
