Oh my goodness . The burgers are the sexiest around.🔥🔥🔥 Here is the Bacon Gouda burger, but the Au Poive is my favorite so far! Edit, 07/22/2023: man, I wish I could write a new review every time. It’s that good. I’m a food critic, and everything here is fresh and well thought out and ridiculously satisfying. You will leave with a full belly, without the heaviness. Their cinnamon roll is bakery quality!😋 The coffee tastes like you’re in a fancy coffee shop. The gyro skillet is huge and incredible. The ice cream floats are massive. Hot chocolate gorgeous and dessert in a mug! Fries and onion rings are perfection.👌 We’re always in the mood for hardware cafe!!🙌

Do yourself a favor and get the banana bread French toast. It is heavenly with a side of sweet cream. Their pancakes are also delicious, I recommend the lemon ricotta. The staff is always friendly. The food is always amazing. I also love the coffee, it is one dang good cup of coffee. If you are in Helena it is worth the 15-20 minute drive to Montana City to get these pancakes and French toast. The eggs Benedict ain’t too bad either. Hearty portions, decently priced, the best breakfast spot in the area hands down.

Order the Poive burger and onion rings. Two peppered patties, brie, arugula and a peppercorn sauce on a brioche bun. Delicious! Onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. Washed it down with a cold Miner's Gold. Delightful server, bright, clean with fun hardware store decor. Lots of seating and booths, which I love. I've been going to a salon across the road for a year and never knew this place was there. So glad I found it! Can't wait to go back and try some of their new menu items!

What a great dinner! I know bbq, as I have a custom built Texas bbq pit and do non profit assistance with mine. My wife and I have been wanting to try out the bbq here for a while now and finally got around to it. We both had the smoked prime rib dinner, beautiful smoke ring, cooked to a perfect 135° ( rare to medium rare) mashed taters were dynamite with gravy made from scraps and drippings from the brisket. We had the grilled asparagus with the basil aole on it as an appetizer was so good. Miss Mary our server was great, she was always checking on us and making sure we were doing good. Next to my own bbq grub I give this joint ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤘. Thank you for such great service Mary, and thank you for a delicious meal Hardware Cafe. We...

GLUTEN-FREE FRIENDLY! Chef/Owner Chris made my life so much easier, being celiac. It is really difficult to find gluten friendly restaurants who understand, let alone that are delicious!

I ordered the amazing brisket and eggs, and the lovely waitress said they had gluten-free pancakes and they were excellent, and my goodness they are the best I’ve ever had! He also wiped down the grill for me! They also have GF bread that’s very good.

On top of it, there’s no upcharge for gluten-free substitutions, which is unheard of, and that’s so nice because we can’t help it. Plus the coffee is great and they offer oat milk.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful dining experience. This is my go-to spot...
