I’m not a coffee connoisseur, and I didn’t read the bad reviews, but I stopped by because my friend and I were in the area. So, there’s that. I ordered an iced Fogbreaker Latte; the friendly cashier said it was a vanilla latte with honey and cinnamon. It was really good! My friend ordered a pumpkin spice latte, which she said she liked. The surrounding area was super cute and there were tables and other places to sit in the back of the coffee shop. There’s also plenty of parking and lots of places to explore. I liked how close it is to the beach, which is where we went to enjoy our coffee :)

Staff unfriendly, particularly girl with shoulder length blonde hair. I asked her if any of the baked goods are vegan or dairy free. "Don't know. Don't think so". Coffee was watery. If they don't use a barista oat milk they should as that could account for watery coffee. Table was dirty and no other low top options though it was quiet in there and I can understand why.

I love this place! It’s in a beautiful, peaceful location, and the coffee drinks are always delicious. I was especially touched this morning, Easter Sunday, when the lovely barista made an adorable bunny in my latte foam. So cute I didn’t want to put a lid on it! šŸ˜

the ladies behind the counter are just wonderful. I’ve started stopping by every once in a while for the last six or seven months and it’s always a real delight to have a chat across the counter. made me one of the best lattes I’ve had here in the state…Love em’ but my folks in Nebraska just can’t get that same type of magic in the cup. girl with curly hair also made a 10/10 pour over. I wanted a light roast and she recommended the single origin beans from Colombia, glad I went with those. I’m hoping to stop by to buy a bag the next time they’re in stock to share with my wife. Pricey for sure but most coffee joints are in the area. Not sure if I’m remembering y’all’s names right..I don’t come in too often now. Was some questionable words i’ve heard coming from the owner. don’t wanna repeat their comments word because I can’t remember the words exactly….Just makes you think about who your money is really goin to. Also orders have taken a while on busy days, baristas seem to do their best to get our drinks out nice n fast but there’s only so much 1-3 Folks behind the counter can do when the shop is packed..Keep that in mind if y’all are visiting on holidays. Overall would recommend if you’re lookin’ for a tasty drink, sometimes with some neat latte art if you’re lucky. Keep doing...

Noticed that this was deleted..! Interesting..! Horrible customer service ever. After placing my order, the espresso machine malfunctioned, you would think that they would tell all those that previously placed an order. But there was no communication. I observed the ā€œleadā€ being rude and condescending to other customers. Then when I inquired about my order the ā€œleadā€ was ornery and was insulted I even inquired, there was no apology for the delay, instead seemed like she was offended. Then when my order was ready, although we were the only groups left in the establishment, she chose to not communicate that my order which I waited for was ready, again no apology for the delay or even an acknowledgment. Then when I commented about about their lack of customer service she and the other employee were ridiculously rude. This place needs either a new ā€œleadā€ our some serious customer service training. I have noticed that the owner only comments in the good service. I hope the owner reaches out to me because after reading other negative comments they either don’t care or chose to address or ignore negative comments because they really don’t care about their customer service or lack there off. I hope you,...

Probably the best coffee in Carmel (emphasis on "in Carmel"). If you are a bay area transplant and looking for a Blue Bottle alternative, try Acme in Seaside or Captain + Stoker in Monterey. That's where real coffee connoisseurs seem to flock. (I'm not a coffee expert.) One interesting factoid I found is the roasting facility is indeed in Carmel Valley but they have no storefront in the valley. Surprisingly, another local coffee shop is pretty much next door in the same shopping complex in the valley and they don't get the beans from this roastery. It would be literally few steps. Instead, they get it shipped from a roastery somewhere else. Speaking of fierce competition! In such a homely little rural town too! I wonder if this company used to have a coffee shop at the same spot where the other coffee shop is now operating. šŸ¤” They don't get much business as there is no tourist traffic in the valley. The owners of this roastery seemed like an enterprising kind of couple so I'm guessing they felt the valley had no real market. After all, it's likely that most of Carmel residents have a top of the line Breville (or even a Simonelli) at home. The real business comes...
