CAUTION!!! DO NOT GO HERE. I always loved Checkers in the past, but my experience today has caused extreme disappointment. I am now in Midwest and this was my chance to have Checkers for first time in 10 yrs due to a trip to this area. We pulled up and the lights were on. There was no furniture inside but the drive thru lights were on and so was the menu at the drive thru. We asked multiple times if anyone was there in the speaker, and no answer. We pulled around and a car was at the drive thru window. There was an employee with his head out the window with his cell phone in his hand talking to person in the car. He looked at us as we pulled up behind the other car. After a few minutes they ended their conversation and he disappeared into the store as the car pulled off. We pulled up to the window and he disappeared(hiding I guess). We waited a few minutes, thinking he would return. But he never did. Even if it was closed, he could have waited 20 seconds and told us it was closed or under renovation(if either was the case). We then circled the building to see if we could get an explanation. My friend saw him again, but obviously he was hiding. I thought long and hard about complaining or not. I usually give people the benefit of doubt. But this experience I feel that management and corporate need to know. Also I feel others should be aware of such a poor business(I should have checked reviews before going but that was my mistake after seeing the other bad reviews for this location). If they show this little concern for a customer I hate to speculate how they perform the rest of their work(cleaning & hygiene). Maybe it was a good thing I didn’t get any food. Probably saved myself from getting sick from the food. Obviously this location needs coporate to clean house and either fire or retrain management and employees. If management or corporate cares, they can reach me for exact time. Next door got my business...
Read moreI'm currently in DT, it took 10-15 min for the cashier to find the burger that I was trying to order, she said its on their 2/5 ok. She came back and said one of my Mozerella sticks fell on the floor and she just wanted to let me know I'll be missing one, I asked can they cook more she rudely said yes, I gave her the food back and said well I'll let it sit, so it all can be fresh. Then she came back and said they were out of graham crackers for the sundae. I asked for a refund. A manager I guess ( had on a tyedyed body suit) says they will give me 3.99 cash and the rest of my money will be refunded back to the card. I asked how long does it takes, She DON'T know and closes the window. Another nice manager stated the DM says it takes 30-45 min, I said ok. I told her what prev manager just told me, all she could do was apologize and say no ma'am. My first n last time trying Checkers.. You staff (especially management) needs to have better knowledge of their products, friendly customers service, and ESPECIALLY being a new location... FULLY STOCKED!!! Oh BTW instead of saying my food fell on the floor, she should have said ma'am can you pull up we're cooking some fresh...
Read moreYesterday, before the tornados hit, I bought lunch here. Now the food was not life-changing. Most fast food isn't. But I gave the 5 star rating because the person taking the order was upbeat and explained the specials, and he just lit up the place. At the window, he gave me ice instead of ice water, but happily corrected it. His staff inside all seemed to be excited to serve everyone. He asked me to pull over to the side. Another staff member brought my order, and she was great too. She apologized & said they were out of ketchup. A few minutes later the shift manager, who had taken my order came out to check on me, because I was still parked there & he was worried that I was either mad about my order or in danger from the coming storm. He & his staff went above & beyond. TO THE STORE OWNER OR MANAGER. Your second shift team would make ANY restaurant the best place in town to eat, from Gordon Ramsay to McDonald's, so step up, give your staff the tools to properly fill orders, and spruce up the place. You are squandering hard to...
