Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Montgomery

Tl;dr Staff did not have hairnets. Staff drinks were in the food prep station, overall the kitchen was a complete mess.

Staff were friendly but tired because they were really busy, so there were long wait times. This is not a one off occurring incident for this location.

The food was the worse part. I order a chicken sandwich combo, light mayo and fries. Heavy mayo was what I received along with an over cooked chicken sandwich and over salted cold fries. Im not even gonna eat it, I took one bite and knew that I'd wasted my money. The only thing I ordered that was edible was the apple pie. The chicken or bun was fresh, and by fresh I mean toasted with the chicken having a rather even and crunchy batter to it. Update: I reached out to the manger and they don't do refunds but they were super nice and understanding about the whole issue. I took back the food and they remade it fresh. they were prompt, fair ,and curteous. Ill continue...

Went to the drive thru - no answer for quite some time. Proceeded to the window where it took moments to get noticed and ordered a two piece wing and leg with mashed potatoes. The staff were too involved in some girl making TikTok videos in the lobby. I was quoted two different totals for my mom’s food. I was then told to pull into the parking lot to wait another ten to fifteen minutes when the guy came to ask what my order was but I replied kindly. After another five minutes he comes out with the bag and being exhausted we left. Got home and my mom has two thighs and a leg. Who wants thighs when we specifically asked for a wing and leg??? We were also told the chicken was cooking but I know now it was being recooked. It was disappointing and hard. It was definitely not fresh. I called back to the store and guess what - no answer....

Oh my goodness when are we going to get it. A restaurant reflects the workers. If the food is bad people talk about the workers. The managers and employees. We must take pride in our jobs. Restaurant business is a highly respected business and serving is a gift when you enjoy doing it. You want the recipients of your services, to be happy and come back. I received some bad dry old chicken today about 2:00pm. I did not get my change back either it was just a nickel but it was my nickel. I would not recommend this Churches Chicken restaurant to anyone. NO ONE ON NO DAY SHOULD BE SERVED OLD CHICKEN. It reflects you.
