KRU on Mt. Meigs — Restaurant in Montgomery

Happy Surprise! I was looking for a good spot to grab a beer after work with a buddy and KRU came up in the search. First, it was the only place open on a Tuesday and Second, they seemed to have a great selection. So i gave it a shot.

It did not disappoint. The bar was easy to get to and the bartender was very friendly.

As an avid beer drinker, it's nice to find a place that has a variety of options that aren't the norm.

I will be back and would reccommend this...

I'm not from Montgomery and to be honest my expectations with regard to food, drink and entertainment aren't that high for Montgomery.

My criteria for a bar that I will frequent is #1 the skill of the bartender, #2 the atmosphere and lastly the patrons.

Always a fun and friendly crowd. Mendel is a great host! Love this place.

There is a nostalgic theme throughout the space. The wall artworks change once in a while, and it’s always unique. Some mood music every weekend I believe, with a live DJ. Kinda wish they had unplugged shows.
