We have lived in Monticello now for little over 2 years. We never tried this place due to the reviews. We recently was informed of new ownership and then a friend of mind tried it. We were then like, why not?!?! So we tried it. Came in at 5pm. I was expecting so so kind of food and a price range of around $70 . Well, the food was horrible and bland. My kids spit most of it out. Everything looked as if it had been sitting on the buffet for hours. The facility was kind of nice and service was ok. Then it came time to pay. When he said $95 my jaw about hit the floor! At no place have we eaten at as a family between Monticello and Somerset have we been charged that much!!! The price is absolutely outrageous for the way below par food served. I can get a asian dish at several resturant in Somerset for under $9…. We tried it, hated it and will...
Read moreThis place is just bad. The buffet is so small compared to what it used to be. The buffet items were cold and old. Several items were empty and nothing was refilled the entire time I ate. I was then asked to pay in cash after pulling out my card to pay. There was no warning on the door, at the counter or by the server that they wanted cash. Luckily, I had cash but not everyone might be able to pay that way. That was pretty disappointing that they didn't care enough to let customers know upfront. The drink was poured out of a flat 2-liter. The server talked on the phone the entire time and never offered a refill or checked on me during the entire time I was in the restaurant. Stay away! Go give someone else more deserving...

I guess if you've never had good Chinese food before, you might love it here but we had good Chinese back in Washington and I don't even know what this is, sorry to say. For chow mein, I would rather go to Walmart frozen section and buy a box of innovasians and eat that. It's more authentic. The sweet and sour is very thin and they don't give you much for to go orders. The chicken for it is dry and tasteless. Once again, I would be better off going to the Walmart frozen section as I really feel like they're microwaved chicken is...
