I found this location on Yelp as I was looking for an Irish restaurant to go to on St. Patrickâs Day. I didnât want just a pub but one that also serves actual meals.
I knew theyâd be busy, but I wildly underestimated HOW busy theyâd be. In fact, I hadnât even checked into it enough to know they were having live music, an outdoor dining space, etc.
I arrive right at 5pm and it was already slammed. Apparently theyâd had the festivities going on all day, from what I heard.
There was a $5 cover charge to get in. There was also a limited menu but had enough options for us to choose from. I am not sure if they increased their prices for this event, but I paid $19.99 for corned beef and cabbage on a paper plate. Iâm not complaining, just stating that I assume this is not what they normally serve food on and perhaps the prices are usually different.
Either way, we all ate our meals and enjoyed the live music and lively feel of the event. I met the owner briefly and he seemed like a wonderful person who cares a lot about his establishment. I wish I wouldâve gotten a photo of him in his festive attire. All of the staff...
Read moreHusband had heard great things about this place so we took some family for a late lunch and it was not a good experience. The appetizers (pork rinds and cheese curds) were decent. The waitress apparently was called in and didnât know what she was doing or the food on the menu and she kept saying ,âIâll have to call my mom and ask about that, sheâs the owner.â We were the only table there and had to wait for everything and remind or ask our waitress for our drink orders repeatedly. We had to ask for condiments, napkins, silverwareâŚpretty much everything. We kept trying to make lemonade out of lemons but it just continued to roll downhill. They didnât have a cook, we found out, so not sure who cooked our food. They didnât have Thousand Island dressing for the pitiful Reuben they served. Basically if it wasnât deep fried it was above the cooks skill level. The bloody Maryâs were good and the bartender was nice but completely understaffed. So not sure if we will ever venture...
Read moreLoved the atmosphere of this pub and folks were really enjoying themselves at the bar and tables alike. Not a rowdy crowd at all. Very laid back and the service was outstanding. Within a cple mins of sitting down at a very comfortable table, our waitress, Miriam was taking our drink orders as well as making suggestion for a fitting beer for the atmosphere. I ordered the Seafood basket, which consisted of a very nice fried filet of whiting, popcorn shrimp and twisty fries. The entire plate was delicious, but the fried shrimp seemed to be normal battered and fried popcorn shrimp...good, but not outstanding as the fish and fries were. My wife had the Surf and Turf, a steak, mashed potatoes, fried shrimp served with a gravy type sauce. She really enjoyed it as well. The food was very good and the service was outstanding! We will definitely go back and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing evening out...
