In the past, I have visited here when my patience is high due to the snotty personalities at this location. Last night is my last time there. The food is very good. The bartenders are very good. The receptionist staff is very snooty, very much not welcoming at all. The wait staff consist of pretty snotting attitudes. Customer service and hospitality is very important to me, therefore the reason for 2 stars. I can eat average food. I cannot deal with or want to be around snotty narcissistic attitudes. Will take my business elsewhere. Will have to find another location for these wonderful oysters. I see your reply and am not allowed to respond to your message. But, please make note and ask the receptionist for validation. I was at the restaurant alone. I literally did not know the folks I was sitting with. When I arrived, they asked if I was alone and would like to share a table. Therefore, I did because I was only arriving for oysters. I typically sit at the bar. I was actually impressed that you refused to serve them, based on their previous consumption levels. But, make note, I was not present during their time of consumption. I have no ties to those folks. But, I did have to ask to be served. From that point, the lady with the blue hair was not a nice person. It's obvious from your reply that she, once again, made some AssUmptions that were incorrect. My issue was that I had to ask to be served, had to ask for a fork and napkin, and not once was my water refilled. In her fury, she took the food from under me that I was literally eating. Her attitude started when I had to ask to be served. Then, when I walked over and asked for a fork and napkin, the attitude intensified. When I asked for the check she literally took the cocktail sauce from infront of me and I said, I was eating that. And, said I'd also like to finish the crackers. I did not drink alcohol during my visit. I was not with the gentleman who left. Check your story. Honestly, it sounds like a misunderstanding.

I will absolutely NOT be returning to this establishment. My server was great, but management is why I deducted. Also the food…. The food was terrible. It was seasoned well, so I added points for that. But as far as quality, it just reminded me of a lazy job. We ordered calamari, and the hushpuppies. The calamari was cut super thick and was so rubbery. I ate 2 pieces and was done with the entire basket. The hushpuppies weren’t bad, but the flavor was lacking. I ate one, and was done with them. Entrees were comical. The Poboy on their menu comes originally with oysters. There’s a five dollar up charge to add shrimp. Which is typically how you would receive a Poboy anyway, so an up charge for adding the shrimp was a bit ridiculous to me. But what was even more ridiculous is how it came out. I was expecting big juicy shrimp, instead I got a medium size Walmart shrimp. I also asked for lettuce, tomato, and pickles to doctor it up to make it more appealing, and the tomatoes that were sent to me were wedge tomatoes, so I couldn’t even use them for the purpose of my sandwich. That seemed like a facetious move. My friend ordered the salmon burger, and the burger was nothing but breading filled with a couple pieces of chopped salmon. A huge letdown. and attempting to kindly inform the manager, he became defensive and just kept asking why she didn’t like it.. After we had already explained it several times. Her replacement dish was not better. She asked for a loaded potato and all they did was melt some cheese over it, and gave her the rest of the items to add to the potato herself. Looking over at others tables, their potatoes were already assembled. So why do that to her?? She boxed it up and took it home, but didn’t enjoy it either. Needless to say, this was my first and last experience here. We both had expensive bills, for food that we did not enjoy and left very unsatisfied. Such a waste of money!

Been frequenting Eddie’s for years. Both by water and car. My original review is old and after reading a very negative, and probably over exaggerated review on another site, I’m updating mine. As I said, been frequenting Eddie’s for years. One thing that drives is there is the food. Never have we had an issue. Even as busy as they get. We’ve been there from a mid afternoon stop during the week to the Saturday night dinner rush and the quality of food hasn’t changed. We’ve reserved space in the main dining area for 12 plus for birthdays. We’ve just sat at the bar for a quick drink and appetizer. Some people will complain about a wait when there are clearly tables empty. I’d rather wait before seated versus waiting after seated. You can’t have it both ways. Rules? Yes, there are rules which I am sure may be justified, so I would request to post the rule and why. But I understand why. Some don’t. I completely understand why the bar may be unavailable if you’re waiting for a table. There are individuals by themselves and there’s no reason to waist a table for 4, just for one person. Don’t want to wait for a table? Take a seat at the bar and eat there. Hate the $1 added to each ticket? Would you rather have every item raised $1? In some industries prices are volatile, they adjust daily. Why do you think upscale restaurants, on items such as lobster charge market price and not just post the price? Because you’d be printing new menus daily. As busy as this place gets, as with any dining establishment, things may not go perfect. But that’s how we learn as individuals, and as business owners. Do complain about it. Address it. And your issue will be addressed. Eddie’s has been consistent, where others have changed ownership, menus and chefs like they change their underwear. For me and my family, Eddie’s is the only restaurant we will frequent regularly on LKN!

Well we took a drive down to the lake today just to get the (King !) his bacon wrapped scallops, we decided to try this place, years ago it was another restaurant that my husband remembers pulling up to the beach from Skippers in the boat and getting out and coming up on the deck eating.Memories of long ago. Nothing is the same here anymore,

The parking not to bad, went in and had a 30 minute wait, okay not bad wasn’t even that, we were taken to a very small round table in the middle of walking traffic to and from a side door and other table not a pleasant place to sit!!! A band ( two men with guitars) were strumming out really nice music actually very nice they sounded just like Cat Steven’s and Pink Floyd ! But the place was loud full of chatter , hussle and bussle if you want relaxing and quiet meal this place is NOT were you should go. The chair at the table I was at was so wobbly I thought it would break , took three chairs and almost half my meal for me to find a chair that wasn’t I could finally sit back in my seat AFTER I ATE PLEASE , CHECK YOUR CHAIR for your safety!!!! The manager did come over finally and ask if I had been taken care of. Because I had mentioned to the host that seated us that the chair was bad, come on safety issue , someone could fall and get bad hurt , but new bar stools!!!!!!!!! My husband got bacon wrapped scallops They are not flamed cooked but deep fried so there’s oil left on them my husband drained them off on a paper napkin this should have been done previously , but over all he really enjoyed them ! If you get brown sugar and melted butter mix it together it makes a delightful dipping sauce for bacon wrapped scallops!! Hint Hint ! For the King himself of course . I ordered a salad instead of fries and a salmon burger, he got the smokehouse burger, our food came out and it overwhelmed me ! my burger plate a salad plate, his burger plate , cup of coffee ,water , tea and cup of extra ice plus condiments containers all on a extra small round table !! I had to hold my salad up with one hand and put the remaining part in my burger plate to have room for the Plates! not a enjoyable way to eat , I couldn’t even put the red wine vinegar and oil on my salad my hands were so full and hold utensils and a plate in one hand, besides I was afraid something would fall off, the salad should have been brought out first, then my burger plate. My lettuce on burger looked like a big wedge that had belonged in the salad I removed it , it made my bun split!! The salmon itself was delicious ! My husband said he disliked the bread his burger was on it was hard as a rock, but the hamburger patty itself was good! Overall this was not a bad adventure but not a pleasant one either, the best thing this place has going on is our sweet young waitresses, pleasant, attentive, checked on our questions without delay, said she is new here, and had not worked there long, this person is hardworking, honest and really try’s to make you happy! None of the problems we had while here were her fault, and we never complained to her about them, but she’s the reason for your five star rating so tell her thanks for being a great asset to you!!! Thanks so much CassA I will leave your name that way since it’s social media, remember my husband told you that I do this and I would say nice things about you serving us!!!! Hope...

Last time I go. I have tried. Truly. I've gone at least 20 times over the past 5 years. We (my family and me) really want to like this place because of the view and now their new patio, but we can't, and I will not go back.

Every single time we go we have the worst service and the food is just so meh. Quite a few times it's one girl in particular that is just really rude (she was at the outdoor bar last night). But overall, their waitstaff is just so unprofessional and mediocre.

The food is blah. Nothing to write home about. Last night, crab cake was bland and flavorless (yes I said cake..not cakes), the fish tacos were a sloppy mess of mush in a tortilla. No bright colors, no cilantro and I had to ask for a lime to give it "some" flavor then doused it in tabasco to try and make it come alive. It honestly looked like pink baby puke in a tortilla and was absolutely flavorless. Just charge me $20 and knock my socks off. Don't charge me $14 for 6 bites of baby puke. Mom had clams and there were a lot of empty shells. This was not the first time she's had clams and same experience.

I've had other things there too. Once I had a bowl of pasta with olive oil and pepper flakes for $16 (yes, they literally charged me $16 for a plain bowl of pasta and it was not a large serving by any stretch).

I've taken customers there, friends from out of town, family and I have honestly really tried, and I am NOT one to write a review like this. I worked in the service industry for years and have quite a bit of grace. But seriously...it is every single time we go...something is awry or something off happens.

I think they have some work to do. It could really be a great place. But it really needs to start with their menu and the staff and some of their "policies".

Also, this is a to each their own but...the wait staff looks so slobby with their ratted t-shirts, no uniforms, baseball caps––they all wear different things. It looks like a motley crew, and I am guessing that this laissez-faire attitude they allow in their dress is partly why the staff does not give AF...it comes from management. The staff is often rude, unkind and just not helpful...many times snide and they often forget things you order. Half the time you don't know who the staff is vs the patrons. It's a bit of a mess.

Anyway...if you are local. Go. Because you know what you are in for. But don't take guests or anyone you are excited to impress with our beautiful Lake Norman. I'd honestly head over to Toucans or Blue Parrot where they are nice, friendly accommodating, the food has flavor and the price is right.

Sorry Eddies. I...

Worst experience I've ever encountered at any restaurant tonight at Eddie's. I normally don't leave reviews unless food or customer service was excellent bc I'm a positive person, but this place is a dumpster fire at best.

My family arrived at 7:23pm. Table of 9. I was told 1 hr to sit outside. That was fine. We had a drink, walked to the lake, hung out, and checked back at 8:45pm after I had not received a text after ~1 hr and 20 min.

I go to the hostess table to ask if our table was almost ready, and the tiny little girl who appears to be in middle school quotes me another 45 minute wait, and says I was originally told an hr and 45 min. I told her that is a lie. Who would wait almost 2 hours to eat any restaurant? (This place is average food at best. We are here for the atmosphere.) I ask her if we could split up our party or just eat inside as there are 5 tables open outside and numerous tables open inside for atleast the past 30 min that we have noticed. There is clearly a staffing issue. I am respectful of that and understanding if that would just be communicated.

Instead of an apologetic or empathetic response, the petite, little girl and her teenager friends (3 little kids) working the hostess stand roll their eyes and tell me, "our wait time MIGHT be cut down if we are willing to sit inside." My dad is now getting irritated with the wait time. He goes to hostess stand where he is smarted off by the petite, little middle school girl and her colleagues and then the manager who appears to be about 20 years old.

We eventually sit down inside after waiting over 2 hours to specifically eat outside. My mom then ask for the manager as she was freezing and upset about sitting inside after waiting 2 hours to sit outside. The hostess stand of little middle school/high school girls are now talking about us and staring at us after we have become overly frustrated with the wait, customer service, and seating arrangements. I ask if we can sit outside again and the midget hostess girl has the audacity to roll her eyes at after the worst display of customer service we have ever received anywhere, so I flipped her off. I was then told to leave as was my family.

When I say this is the worst experience my family and I have ever experienced at a restaurant that is an understatement. From the hostess stand of adolescents to the young arrogant female manager I would NEVER step foot in this place again, and I live 1 mile away and use to...
