I have eaten at this restaurant several times but last night was the first time that I would say the service has been less than stellar. The server brought our drinks and took our order and never returned until time to pay the bill. Other staff in the restaurant took care of our drinks, serving our entree, refilling of chips, etc. I didn't address it at the time because I was with a friend and we were on our way somewhere else and I did not want to linger so I call today and asked for a manager. I was put on a brief hold and another person came to the phone, a female I would assume, who asked me what this was about. And I reiterated again that I needed to speak to a manager. She said the manager was busy and he needed to know what this was about. And I stated again that I would only discuss this with the manager. I didn't want to discuss this with another employee about one of her co-workers. I don't think that's the correct thing to do. The issue was with one specific server and the manager needs to be aware of that and no one else. At which time she finally identified herself as the assistant manager but I have a hard time believing that all of a sudden she wants to identify herself as the assistant manager. So I told her I would be happy to leave my name and phone number and the manager could call me back when he or she had an opportunity and she again proceeded to tell me I could call back or I could tell her the problem. I just hung up the phone and decided to just leave a review instead. I won't be calling back nor will I be visiting that restaurant again because it sounds like to me the manager is unwilling to address it so why should I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI donāt like giving negative reviews, but this place truly makes the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Queso fundido literally means āmelted cheeseā. It is probably the easiest Mexican dish to make ā just take chorizo, brown it in a skillet, and top with Chihuahua cheese and serve with chips. Done. Here they make queso fundido with some sort of cheese whiz product. You canāt serve melted cheese if you donāt start with real cheese! And to charge $7.99 for a skillet of cheese whiz is robbery. Next my āBurritos Mexicanosā which consisted of two flour tortillas wrapped around low quality, gristly carne asada, that was squirted with mysterious ānacho cheeseā that once again wasnāt real cheese. It supposedly came with salsa verde, but I didnāt see it. Serve up those two sad, thin, burrito-like products on a dish with a scoop of cold rice and liquid refried beans, and charge $12.95 for it. Pretty sad. It has been a long time since I didnāt finish my food at a Mexican restaurant, but we all walked out with plates that were half full. No to-go boxes, thanks! The server was very friendly, though he did screw up our order and forgot one of the food items we ordered, which in retrospect was a blessing in disguise. We will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe wait staff needs to study the menu. Asked the waitress if the relleno had breading. She said no, just cheese. She even made a point to ask the cook if it was just bare (green). He confirmed it was. She brings the dish out covered in some red sauce. -I donāt care for red sauce and advised her of my dislike for it and how I thought it was just cheese. So I asked if it was possible to remake it with cheese. As she advised. She said yes. She then comes back and asked me if I wanted to be charged for a full queso appetizer, or another chili relleno. I couldnāt eat anything else on the menu so I just said yes and moved on. I do not think this is fair for a consumer and she didnāt take note that I was not happy. Let this he a warning to others. If you order anything with queso as a sauce, they will charge you not as extra, but as an appetizer or another meal! On top of that it still had breading, and it tasted like it had been...
