Buzze's Creamery — Restaurant in Morganton

Tons of flavors to choose from and ice cream is creamy and flavorful. Buzzes has always been our go to ice cream place, and now with the new walk up location, we appreciate their expanded menu. So at my most recent visit, I ordered the "classic" sundae and it was terrible. The hot fudge was translucent and had no flavor... kind of like a thin Hersheys syrup... not what I would call hot fudge. Also, the chopped nuts were so rancid or stale that I was nauseous from them the rest of the evening. And the real cherry on top was that there was NO cherry on top... I asked the girl if they had forgotten the cherry (since the description says it has a cherry) and she said no, that they just dont have any. Better customer service would have apologized for not being able to fulfill my order, rather than waiting for me to ask about it. But the employees are always teenagers so I'm not expecting world class service either. Regardless, next time I'll just get a scoop of something... no...

Great ice cream, but the setting was misleading

The ice cream itself was very tasty and the staff were eager to please—excellent service all around. However, the photos made it seem like this was a cute little ice cream shop on the water with crafts to browse, which wasn’t the case. There is plenty of seating, but nothing much to look at. I went expecting to enjoy a treat while strolling through a shop by the water, but instead it was just ice cream (and an old dumpster cat for entertainment).

For what it is—just ice cream—it’s a one-time stop for me. If that’s all you’re after, they do have plenty of flavors and a friendly team, but the overall experience didn’t...

Such a cute little gem tucked off the roadside in a place I'd never expect to find such deliciousness! Stopped in yesterday on my way to downtown Hickory on business & I am so glad I did! Nice, shaded picnic area to bring family's, dates or just stop by to have a mental moment with some delicious ice cream to accompany 🙌 They also have milkshakes, ice flavors & non-dairy flavors as well ! Lots of flavors to choose from. Staff was very nice ( I bought 2 but only got one punch on my card tho 😞 ) I don't think the girl realized tho .... Will definitely return on my next trip up in the next few...
