This place is fabulous. I love the cafe feel dining area and the small, retro arcade. It's what you'd feel in your best pizza memories smelling of amazing herbs and cheeses.
The pizza is definitely high quality especially for such a small area. It's hard to tell exactly what style of pizza, but I'd say the Greek style pizza crust is the closest I can relate. Chewy, fluffy crust with a slight crunch. It's obvious that the toppings are not your cheap toppings but very nostalgic of a great dream pizza.
Their sandwiches are monstrous filled with the same high quality pizza toppings. If you're looking for a soft submarine loaf, you'd be sadly mistaken. This sub is an artisan style similar to an elongated ciabatta bread.
If you're looking for a cold beer with this pizza, you'll be disappointed because the county is dry. This is a wonderful family environment for those concerned about present adult beverages.
Speaking of kids, you should be aware about their buttery rich cookies and delicious, high quality ice cream. The cherry pie is absolutely delicious with its creamy, fresh tones rich in its sugary sweetness.
If you're looking for great food along a long stretch of Interstate 165, this is slightly off the beaten path but a great stop.
Are there public restrooms here? Yes. 2 simple 1 toilet restrooms that are very clean and discreet. It's great room for someone with 2-3 little ones, and a basic wheelchair should maneuver pretty well.
This is a great stop before going to Bowling Green or Owensboro....
ย ย ย Read moreMy little film crew and I were in town from Chicago for work, and we stopped here for lunch on our second day. We found the place the day before but they were closed. In my travels across this country, that is actually a good sign that you'll find real pizza when they're open. We were not disappointed!
I split an Eric Pizza with one of my crew mates, and it was awesome! I've never had steak sauce on a pizza before. The toppings were great, and we left with a couple of slices to go because they were so filling. The crust was soft, very tasty, and reminds me of a place called 'Crushed Pizzeria' in Chicago. Another guy had the Eric Sandwich and loved it. I don't know who this Eric guy is, but I like him.
I was also a big fan of the local BBQ chips and bottles of Ale 8. The best part of travelling is trying new things, and I was thrilled not to only find Lays and Coke/Pepsi products.
I love all the pizza back home, but I've found excellent pizza almost everywhere I've been in this country. You can definitely enjoy a good pie in...
ย ย ย Read moreAte dinner here for the first time and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere is great! It may be a little more expensive than your chain pizza restaurants but itโs the quality and service you are paying for. The garlic knots are the best Iโve had anywhere! You can tell they are hand tied and made with real dough. I am a vegetarian and I really appreciated that they had a vegetarian specialty pizza. It was also fantastic! I definitely would love if in the future they can add more vegetarian salads and sandwiches. I moved to KY last year and have ate at lots of high end pizza restaurants where I lived before and this is an absolute hidden gem and one of the best pizzas Iโve had. I will for sure bring family here when they are in town. The owner and staff were all very nice. I also usually have an upset stomach from pizza due to the grease but I felt great after eating here! Quick service too! I have no complaints other than maybe expanding the vegetarian menu in the future. I will definitely drive back down from Beaver Dam to...
