Charles Black City Park — Attraction in Morgantown

Like the park but I wonder about them wood chips. What if my kid goes face first into that and gets a piece of wood in their eye. What happened to the cut up tire stuff theyd had? Need to get the older kids their own little area. Let the little ones play there. Sometimes them bigger kids will about plow ya down. I usually take mine behind the boys and girls club. First time visiting this park, but was impressed with the playground & overall cleanliness of the park. There are ball fields, multiple covered pavilions for picnics & trusses for sound & lights for concerts/events. My kiddo loved the playground as it had multiple slides, swings & climbing apparatus. The rubber flooring is also appreciated as it helps keeps kids safer. Overall, a perfectly fine park to spend some time in walking around or with friends...

Last time I was there was 4 years ago, and it was in serious need of repair. Since the remodel, it looks great. Not sure they needed to spend money on a TANK in the back area. It detracts from the rest. The upgraded play area is awesome with the recycled rubber. Makes it so much nicer for the kids. The equipment has been updated, too. My daughter absolutely loved it.
