BIG MAMA'S KITCHEN. — Restaurant in Morristown

Finding authentic soul food can be extremely hard, but thanks to The Loc (Light of the City) that task became a whole lot easier to overcome. I stopped by one night to see what the Loc was and I was welcomed by the most friendly family ever who welcomed me in, and told me all about the wonderful history of how they came to be. I then proceeded to take my family there to try out their food, and that was the best thing I’ve ever done. This place offers delicious souls food. The Soul food tastes better than you could imagine. You can tell the owners pour their soul into what they do. We had the Philly cheesesteak, Green Cornbread, chicken wings, and the fried mushrooms. Saying this place is the best thing to happen to Morristown would be an understatement. This place is absolutely one of my most favorite restaurants I’ve ever ate at, and I look forward to trying more of their devine food! They also offer a fully stocked bar! I drove all the way from Johnson city expecting p wee long way to come but he never showed up. I watched the owner disrespect his bartender multiple times throughout the night. Also they wouldn’t let me order wings unless I ordered more than 20 smh…. Money hungry. Not only that the bathroom was disgusting u could tell it hadn’t been cleaned even the day before or days ahead it was that dirty 🤢and the owner tried to touch my friend who was barely 18. I expected a welcoming environment but instead of that I got the true colors of the owners that night. Never again will I go back.so disappointed...

Great place with great food! My friends and myself visited this establishment while traveling through Morristown, and I must say the food and the environment was great! The prices are so reasonable!

I had the pork chop and greens while my friends had the same but with Mac and cheese and everything was delicious!

The owner Mr. Trill is a retired vet and cooking is his love language , and it translates well. The bartender, Porschea, was phenomenal as well. She has great customer service and it’s very personable.
