We went in for lunch around 1:30 on Sunday. They were pretty busy with most tables filled. We stood around for a few minutes but no one greeted us so we just found a booth and sat down. No one came over to take our order so my husband got up to see if we order at the counter or if it was wait staffed. While he was up he noticed the salsa bar. There were help yourself tortilla chips next to the salsas. While he was up, a waitress dropped off menus. The tortilla chips were good and the salsas were great! Very spicy and flavorful! After 15 minutes, no one had come to take our order. My husband had to flag down the waitress. It seems there was only one person covering the entire restaurant. She took our order and brought our food but wasn't very pleasant or happy to do it. We got the guacamole appetizer and two vegetarian tortas with a side of beans and rice. The guacamole was delicious. The tortas were ok but a lot better when we added the extra beans and rice to the sandwich. We asked for beans instead of meat but they put maybe a teaspoon of beans on it. They have a drive thru so if we come back we would use that since the...
Read moreMy partner and I are visiting from Arizona, specifically Tucson. So we know what good and authentic Mexican food tastes like. My partner was hankering for some tacos and wanted to hit up a local place. I told him there was no way we were going to find any good Mexican food in the middle of TN.
Well he gets to say, "I told you so" because my god was this food BOMB! Homemade tortillas and you can tell they are homemade. The tacos come with onion and cilantro which is a plus and my preference. The red sauce? To die for. The tomatillo salsa was also suberb and so was the avocado sauce.
We got carne asada tacos and the carne was fresh and juicy and I just can't get over it! We added the authentic real sugar cokes to our order and my god I feel like I'm home.
Thank you so much for the amazing food that fed my belly and soul. WE...
Read moreWhat is this? And I mean honestly please tell me because I can't ever remember having a worse meal in my life. The queso dip didn't taste like any I had ever had before & not In a good way. Like microwaved velveeta? Hows that authentic? I got a chimichanga and it LOOKED okay, but the taste of the chicken on the inside was so odd like something I couldn't even describe. I couldn't get past the 2nd bite. My husband got the fajitas and they looked great, but the meat was sooo incredibly salty, there's no way any one is actually eating that meat. I read other reviews after we left of ppl getting sick from eating here and I'm just praying to God that we both aren't up all night puking our guts out. No one came and checked on us after we received our food either. We eat mexican food all the time but this was...
