Where to begin? I ordered the catfish filet special add okre. My order came with 2 large plump filets, a generous portion of fries, okre, and several hush puppies. The fish was seasoned and fried to perfection. I'm funny about my fish! Call me the goldilocks of fish! I want it crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. I want it seasoned but not overseasoned. I also want it hot and not greasy. BA-BAY! When I tell you, that's EXACTLY what I got!! Whoo! I got my order and drove, drove home, and walked my dog before ever opening my plate. Food was STILL HOT and CRISPY....even the fries! The hushpuppies have a nice kick. The fish is not overbreaded. The okre is lightly coated as well. Everything was seasoned well! The front staff was cleaning the entire time. The young cook presented my plate, making sure to open it and show me. He wanted to make sure it looked pleasing to me! THAT is customer service, and he did it with a beautiful smile!! They even have cakes and pralines you can purchase. Stopped for a late lunch to grab something on the way back home. While I enjoyed Mr Edward's service, my #2 boil bag was just ok. Having lived in Florida I've seen my fair share of pre cooked, microwave in a container with margarine and seasoning seafood spots before. This was no different, although their seasoning wasn't lawry's salt and cayenne like most which I appreciated. He did hook me up with some extra crab clusters, and the shrimp is head on which I also prefer. Nothing was horrible or off putting, I needed to nuke it once more when I got home. But it still tasted like mostly flavorless reheated seafood with a bunch of butter on top. Thats not enough for another go at their * boil n bag, there's better option available. The food is disgusting. The shrimp was mushy, and the taste was disgusting. The food looked dirty. I took one bite of shrimp, and got concerned about food poisoning due to the very odd taste, as well as the texture. I called the establishment to return the full boiled bag, and the owner was very defensive. I was originally told i could bring the bag back to get a refund, and the owner personally called me back to tell me he wasn’t doing the refund because “ his shrimp is fresh so that’s disputes anything i said and no other restaurant would do that”. He was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and unpleasant. I would never support this business again....
