Tootsie on the River — Restaurant in Moss Point

I’ve been wanting to visit this spot for a while & yesterday we finally had the opportunity.

Simply walking up to the place is joy inducing- The colors & decor are so inviting.

It’s nothing compared to the experience when you enter- Beautiful, clean and the friendliest guys working there yesterday. They were helpful & very attentive.

I had the passion fruit sorbet (highly recommend if you like tartness - and love passion fruit. ) I also had the vegan mango pineapple - also fabulous.

I love they have vegan options for those who are vegan or have lactose intolerance. I’m not either of the aforementioned but they are FABULOUS!

We also had the movie theater & also another I would recommend! I tasted it & loved it as well!

Their ice creams are hand made & you can taste the love!

I can’t wait to go back!

Also aside from ice cream they have a small pastry case with freshly baked items. They looked delicious as well & would be perfect alongside the coffee they serve.

What a gem this place is! ...

My fiancé and I went here today for the first time, and it’s such a beautiful place! It’s a very cottage core vibe, and so ascetically pleasing. It even has a cozy reading room in the back. The customer service was also outstanding. The gentleman talked to us about the homemade ice creams and the delicious king cakes they have. He went above and beyond, and was so sweet. I had lavender honey ice cream (OMG so good), and my Honey had Movie Time, which is a combination of like a popcorn flavor, peanuts, chocolate chip and some other yummy stuff. We will definitely be back for an ice cream-coffee-reading date. I wish I would have taken pictures, but we were in a bit of a rush....

Walking into “Tootsie’s” was like a breath of fresh air!! I not only got a tasty snack, but also enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere. The service was just as good; the staff, very friendly and professional. I chose the butter pecan ice cream that was homemade, delicious, and vegan ( but I would never have guessed that it was vegan)! It’s the place to be if you’re looking for a place that really reflects true southern charm!! I can’t wait to go back!
