Rita's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Mount Holly

My husband and I are both truckers and we came from Florida to NC , to drop a load off. We love to eat our local mom/pop dinners and Rita's had an awesome google review. I wish we had ask our waitress names because all 3 of them were amazing and made us feel welcomed. The fatboy and Rita burgers were also DELICIOUS 😋. When we were ready to paid our bill, the waitress told us that it was cash only. We are so used to paying with a card that neither my husband and I had cash on us. The one waitress was so sweet ,that she offered my husband to drive her car so he didn't had to bobtail the truck to a near ATM. If we are ever back to NC, we will sure come back to Rita's again. I think you could get a better meal in jail, if I knew what jail food tasted like. Worse than waffle house and more expensive, while everything even dine in is served on disposable plates that melt to the hot food, and plastic cutlery. People at homeless shelters eat better than this. This is the lowest standards possible, no salt, everyone is coughing, the coffee is brown water that you can see to the bottom of the Styrofoam cup. The wait staff are constantly asking if you're OK, as if to rush you out, even when you have food...

The food is amazingly priced and good for what your paying. Service was fast and friendly. It's a no frills type of place that serves the good food they make on styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. But their customer service and speed is top notch. They know their customers order just by saying hello. I gave this diner a solid 4 stars minus for the atmosphere. They do now take credit cards.
