I was hoping to leave a great review since I had such a good experience the first time I visited but I forgot to take pictures but now that's definitely NOT going to happen. I walked in with a small stroller and it had my 2 small Yorkies in there. I said to the patrons "Don't worry, it's not a baby, it's just my dogs" One of them replied back "I don't care". I proceeded to the bar and the bartender (Heather) very rudely said to me "You can't have them in here" and I said that I just wanted to order food to go. She again rudely said to me that they would have to wait outside. I was absolutely dumbfounded. I told her that they were my emotional support dogs and that I'm allowed to take them anywhere. I even offered to show her the letter that I have from my psychologist. She then came over with her notepad and asked me what I wanted. I hadn't even seen a menu. She brought over a menu and I asked her a few simple questions and she took my order. I asked her how long it was going to be and she said 10 minutes. I decided to order a beer and asked what was on tap. She pointed to the taps and since the Bud Light was the one that stood out, that's what I ordered. She brought me my beer which wasn't even close to being full. She was really batting a thousand at this point. Then she proceeded to put the bag on the bar and said "Here's your food". I've never experienced such horrible service since I moved here. You would've thought that she would've tried to redeem herself when I told her that I blog on several different sites. I even told her that 140 people had seen the photo of my cheese curds from Idle Hour. I said that I was going to make sure that I took a photo of my food this time. Even though I got such shitty service, I still gave her a tip which she didn't even deserve but that's not how I was raised. When I got home and opened my food, I was extremely disappointed. I paid extra for french fries and this is what I got. Although the food was good, I can't justify ever going back. I was treated horribly and I was shorted on my beer and fries. It definitely wasn't worth $16.00. I only gave it one star because the food was good. I definitely don't recommend going here if you want to get treated like I was. Feel free to look up my 5 star reviews for all of the other businesses in Mt. Morris. This is my first bad review and hopefully it will be my last. Here's a photo of my girls that she wanted me to leave outside unattended. Totally...
Read moreMy wife and I both had an uncommon day off so we decided to stop in for a bite to eat. It was easy enough to find based on the directions we found online. The outside is just as you'd expect for a bar in this area. Nothing too extravagant with a covered porch area directy out the side of the main building. We were greeted warmly upon entering and the manager Evon was polite and quick to get us out drinks. The menu is small, but they do offer a decent range of food items to choose from. Based on the recommendation from the cook, we settled on spiltting both a half pound bacon burger (medium), an order of wings (5), and a basket of fries. The burger was absolutely delicious and done to perfection. The wings, evidently a mixture of several different spices, were also quite good and served with ranch dressing. The fries were crispy and fried just right with ranch seasoning on them. There was more than enough food to fill us both and even have a few fries left over. We truly enjoyed our lunch and made sure to express our feelings to both the manager and the cook who happened to come out to the bar area while we were getting ready to leave. We really like this bar and are planning to return again to try other items they...
Read moreI've certainly had my fair share of drinks here. Casual vibe. Two pool tables. Oversized Jenga. Darts. Always a good crowd.
We just had our first take-out food order. Very pleased. 20 minutes for a larger order. The fries and onion rings were everything they needed to be. The burgers were large and flavorful. My Rueben was delicious, although just a bit chewy, but I can get over that. Good rye bread and two dipping sauces. Thousand island and horseradish. Cant wait to try a few more things!
UPDATE: The carryout food we get is still really good. They improved their Reuben sandwich and it's just perfect now. The fries and onion rings are just...
