The Pepper Mill — Restaurant in Mount Morris Township

I grew up in this area, I've lived in this town. I have never once been to this place. I was recommended the chicken strips. But for nearly $14 for 5 stripes and a measly side salad, I was absolutely disappointed. Don't get me wrong the strips were decent. Nothing to write home about tho, bit that sauce was on point. I'd order just the sauce if I could, maybe I can, I'm not sure. Anyways, I've had better strips at some gas station joints in the area for way less. But dang, that price. We stopped in there on Wednesday night for the special, half rack ribs and the salad bar. It was like 12 bucks and a great deal. Ribs are cooked great, the sauce was delicious, plenty of sides to go with it and the salad bar was tasty and filling. Super small and personal restaurant with super fast service. Upon arrival we were greeted by a nice friendly woman who also ended up being our waitress. The place felt clean and cozy. Started off with a salad bar offering soups and various other salads on it. (In my opinion the soups were homemade not bagged) very good! We both ordered two different specials that we were offered and we were not disappointed. Our waitress made sure we were happy and made us feel thankful for our business. This was worth our half hour drive to try someplace different. We plan on returning again to try some more stuff...
