This place usually does a good job on cakes. However the last cake we had done there was a disaster. This was my son's graduation cake. My mom put in the order over the phone and submitted my son's Kindergarten and senior picture to have a picture cake made with the pictures printed on it. They told her that the pictures would be etched on and she asked what they meant by that and the person who took the order put her on hold for a minute and then came back on the line and said the pictures would work. Assuming everything was good to go my mom hung up. The day of the party my grandma picked up the cake as she lives in Mt. Olive and when she handed the box to me I opened it and was shocked to see how terrible it looked. Someone drew on the pictures by hand. I was embarrassed to serve this to my guests it looked like a child drew it. Even my son was disappointed by it. And although it tasted okay the appearance was just awful. My mom was livid. She was under the impression it would be a picture cake. It was a smaller cake (1/4 sheet) and it was 60 dollars! I contacted the bakery about it and they apologized and informed me they don't have the technology there to do edible printed pictures. They offered me a gift card but informed me I'd have to drive all the way there to get it. (45 min drive) I said just forget it...next time communicate with your customers! Thank God my mom also made cupcakes that day for my son's party.... they looked SO much better...
Read moreThe only the I don't like about this place is how irresistible their food is! My obsession with this bakery started a few weeks ago, when we moved here. I walked in one day, and I saw a pastry that looked phenomenal. I decided to try it, and now I am hooked. Since my first discovery of the delectable treats this place has to offer, I have bought their pastries every other day. When you walk through their doors, or even the doors of the thrift shop next door, you are greeted with an incredible aroma. My taste buds go to heaven every time I bite into their ooey gooey butter pastry. I have definitely put on a few pounds. I'm gonna have to start walking to get the treats so I...
Read moreWas passing by midday and decided to stop. Had heard about this place but never been. Expecting there not to be much left, I stopped anyway (at noon). Arrived with plenty of parking on the street. Neat little storefront with lots of options. Probably even more if you can arrive early. My preferred donuts were out so I went with a cherry danish and a cinnamon roll to take home for Sunday. The Danish is large enough for two people but good enough you may not want to share. 😬 Tried the cinnamon roll after church the next day. Only ate half because they too are large! Both were delicious. Definitely worth the stop!! Not far off the interstate so worth a...
