First off, I would like to start with my server Joan. Joan, started out well. She was quick with bringing drinks, then following up on our order choices (husband was accompanying myself too). Prior to giving her my order, I had said I would like to glance at the salad bar before I get it, because I’ve been burned by Frischs, in the past. Joan, had made a snide comment in regards. Let me just say, for starters I was taken back, because there shouldn’t have been any misunderstandings relating to my concerns. Then to openly, and let me just say-VERY audibly, make an unkind comment in return, very uncomfortable. I was completely embarrassed. The restraunt was by no means “dead” there were many customers, especially within close proximity of our table and the complete interaction. I let it roll off my back, because I do understand people can interpret meanings to conversations differently or incorrectly than intended by the sender. When, I return to my table, I was immediately disheartened to hear my husband tell me that our waiter CONTINUED to speak about me and what had been said to her coworker 5 maybe 10 feet away at the drink station at an AGAIN audible way. I just couldn’t believe it. She was an elderly woman, so I yet again gave her the benefit of the doubt, thinking she probably just can’t hear well herself and doesn’t realize she was being very loud. I was completely sickened by the whole ordeal, especially since the party of 8 sitting at the table 3 feet away witnessed it as well and kept gleaming me the stink eye based off what she had said. Okay, next... then the salad bar was mediocre and the cold salads ( rotini pasta salad & coleslaw) tasted as though someone had smoked a whole pack of cigarettes, came back inside and made the salad with their bare hands. It must have not been fresh. At least that’s what I was hoping. The cottage cheese was fresh and good though - so not a complete flop for $9.99. I also ordered the French toast breakfast with includes 2 pieces of Texas toast sliced and a choice of meat. I chose ham to go with it. The French toast tasted like they had literally took the bread and put it in the toaster, then when it’s done butter it and sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar on it. That French toast was dryer than a popcorn fart! The ham was fresh and juicy. No complaints about the ham. Lastly, we had gotten our bill for $27.35, and I used my PNC debit card to pay. Joan comes back shortly after handing her my card and says, “ Your card is not working, it says it was declined ( and she was not discreet about it either),” I could have just died right there. I was a crowd favorite there let me tell you. I got onto my online banking to see if it was a hold from the bank because we were out of town, to find my card was charged 5 times! My husband gives her his card to try. She came back quickly to say the same thing to him as well (shockingly not loud as was when there was an issue with mine). He walks up to the work station they were at (because she had gotten her manager) and explains my card had been charged 5 times and his as well. The manager reassured us there must be an issue with their system and the charges were cancelled and should fall off. Fast forwarding to now 2am to use the bathroom I check my online banking account to find my card was charged 10x! I couldn’t believe it. I am so upset. I have never put a review on google until this. I’m frustrated not only by the service but the fact that $273.50 of my money is tied up over their doings. There will be resolution. This is outrageous. Thank goodness I’m not broke or immediate need of those funds, otherwise I would be up a creek. I don’t want to further waste my time and write to management about the experience I just want my money back. I’m not unwilling to pay for the original $27.35, I wish I could. That way I could go about my life and never return to that...
Read moreWe recently stopped at The Country Inn for breakfast before heading out for a day of shopping, and I must say, our experience was absolutely five-star! The food was superb, featuring fresh ingredients and a menu that caters to a variety of tastes. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting and beautifully maintained, making it a perfect spot for any dining occasion.
What really made our visit outstanding was the service. Our server was exceptionally attentive, catering to our family’s needs with both efficiency and politeness. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and professional, ensuring our meal was delightful from beginning to end.
We were also impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant; it is evident that they maintain the highest standards.

Read moreThis was my first time coming here. The food is very good with generous portions, but the service was somewhat lacking. My waiter caramon apparently didn't know that I was there and so I waited for quite a while before my order was taken. He brought my drink which was an unsweetened iced tea ( I asked for sweetened) I then waited and waited and waited for my salad and coleslaw then finally he realized that I hadn't gotten it yet and brought it out 2 or 3 minutes before the food came out. I had barely started on my salad when my main course was brought to the table, caramon remarking that I should be careful for the hot plate. I told him, "I'm sure it will be cold by the time I'm finished with my salad", apparently this subtle hint was overlooked. Indeed, once I finished with my salad and coleslaw and began to eat my pork chops and baked potato they were lukewarm at best as I predicted. In spite of this the food was very good although it would have been much improved if actually warm. Caramon needs to pay more...
