Server asked my husband to help her hand out food while he was trying to stand with our fussy son, we had to order our appetizers from the front, poor table etiquette from our server. Took over an hour to order and over 2 hours for our food to hit the table. Server was rude and argumentative. I didn’t complain until she asked in a really condescending way if there was a problem (there obviously was, but we were trying to be polite while dining with a large group) I’ve been in the restaurant industry for over 15 years and I have literally never. Paid $100+ bill in full and boxed up my uneaten food with zero apologies from server or management. They should have had more than one server on such a large party. Also, focus on guest satisfaction and train servers on table etiquette and table recovery. That was handled very poorly
Edit** just for the record I would never ever yell at a server. JENNIFER asked my husband to pass out food to one of the other tables.. at which point he obliged being a seasoned server. A few people snickered at this while someone asked him if he was collecting the tip as well. I believe that we’re talking about two different situations at the table here. Although it’s refreshing that the only thing that you acknowledged was that we did infact order apps from you at the front. Jennifer asked me if there was a problem and I blatantly told her that we were trying to not say anything, but since she asked I told her what the problem was. She then started talking over me and I told her to hold on.. At which point she started crying. Actually, she yelled at me! She said that she was doing her best which we didn’t deny her of. She was clearly overwhelmed, at which point we told her that the biggest issues could’ve been avoided with another server on the party. She blatantly told us that she had forgotten about us as well.. but I’m sure that your server didn’t tell you this. As I said, I’ve been in the industry for over 15 years. I’ve never worked in an establishment that would deny a party of 40 if they had the availability, but regardless a hour and a half is a ridiculously long time to wait for your order to be taken. Also, I have worked in many scratch kitchens and not leaving food in a window isn’t an excuse for poor pace of meal. I’m sorry to say, I did come back to the table. I also saw you up front when paying the bill. It’s a shame that we weren’t able to resolve anything on Saturday. I apologize if my review was offensive, but it was honest. I would want to know these things as a perspective guest. A word of wisdom that an old gm taught me when in management training “talk to your guest first and coach your server second”, in other words you will never actually know what happened without talking to your guest.. so, don’t enter the conversation with a preconceived idea!! Guest recovery 101....
Read moreVery disappointed firstly my wife and I went to eat here on a Saturday at around noon. I was surprised to see the parking lot rather empty. Satisfied that we wouldn't have to wait for a long time we proceed in. After being seated and served drinks we waited for a very long time to have someone take our order. The lady that came to take our order wasn't even our waitress claiming our waitress was to busy although I don't see how being there were only three tables seated. We both ordered the peanut butter bacon burger with fries and deep fried mushrooms. The food came in a reasonable time. The mushrooms were hot and everything else was not. The pathetic frozen hamburger patty was luke warm and flavorless, the sparce amount of shredded cheddar cheese was hard, the pickles were indescribably bad being reminiscent of Aunt bees kerosene pickles (watch Andy Griffith), and was that bacon? Who knows it was barely there. I have had better burgers from the place with the golden arches and can anyone honestly call that a burger without feeling dirty. The fries were mediocre at best unsalted basic frozen fries. The only saving grace was the deep fried mushrooms which were still only ok, (but who can't fry frozen mushrooms) and the glass of lemonade was good although the waitress was unsure if it was caffeine free! 🤔 I think I understand why the parking lot was empty. I have been to this establishment multiple times over the years being a resident of Brown county and I can surely say I...
Read moreWhat an absolute joke. The servers all have the personality of a stone statue. Not a smile, nothing egaging about them, they just act like they hate life.
The only part of our meal that was served hot were the entrees. Our sides were luke warm at best. My wife's potato was stone cold.
It amuses me that there are so many locals that love to talk about the salad bar, upon arrival we got to watch the bar being restocked, the girl added new product on top of old, so who knows how long the stuff on the bottom has been there. Watched her rub her face and pants and then continue handling food without washing or changing gloves.
Decided to try the bar and went to get a roll, which by the way, are kept in bags with no way of getting them out other than to bare hand them, only to be over whelmed with the stench of moldy bread. So we started pulling bags out...took 3 bags that were very noticeably molded to the employees with out so much as a "oh, sorry" nope nothing....why you ask? Because they have that whole stone statue personality thing happening.
Needless to say I did not get anything off the bar, didnt get to eat my side dishes and for apx $12 I got to eat an entree which cost them about a buck.
It is absolutely astounding to me that the owner of this place actually teaches the "culinary program" at our local vocational school. Or, maybe, thats the issue, perhaps they are too busy doing everything else than to give a hoot about whats...
