Milano's Pizza — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

One star rating for the service and food. I called in my order for carry out. The pizza was simply ok (probably a 3star pizza for taste). Now we get to the service, I called my pizzas in 25 min before I arrived, they still were not finished. I get it, sometimes to prep and cook it takes a while, and that’s understandable. However, the lady at the front was in no rush what so ever, there was no one in the restaurant at all. When I handed the $40 to this woman to pay my $33 bill,She took my money and proceeded to say thank you and closed the register without handing my change back to me. I looked at her and she said thank you for the tip. I almost lost it, but thought, you know that’s ok... you just lost a customer that would have regularly eaten there at least 3 times a month. I really hope management reads this. Stealing and not rendering back change is illegal, I always, always give a 15-25% tip. However, this woman just took my money and assumed the tip was given. I didn’t make a big deal about it, I decided then I will never be back and stress to others what happened. I have left this review as a warning, shady shady, well the employee...

ASOLUTE GEM!! We are from out of town and we came in to Milano's after a very long trip. We were very hungry and ready for some great food. The gentleman who helped us order was so kind and welcomed us to town. He offered suggestions on the most popular pizzas and brought our pizzas to the table. We had the supreme and meat lovers pizza. It was so fresh and flavorful! We LOVED the atmosphere of the place and would definitely recommend if you are in town! We'll visit Milano's again before we leave town. ...

Jay and Sarah and their staff are the best! Always incredibly friendly, prompt and professional -- you're greeted with a smile and they call their regular customers by name. They offer a buffet and well-stocked salad bar or you can order from the menu which is full of options -- pizza, calzones, pastas, salads, dessert pizzas, chocolate cake and at least three flavors of cheesecake.
