Tequilas Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

The only choice I know of for a Mexican Restaurant in Mt. Vernon, IN. It is average. Average food and average service compared to most other Mexican restaurants me and my family dine at in other cities. Don't want to rate it too badly since there is already not many dining options in Mt. Vernon, and Mt. Vernon doesn't need yet another empty storefront. Mt. Vernon, IN is a city that has been on a continuous decline for years and years now. Downtown buildings are mostly vacant with broken windows, trashed out, with most of them crumbling. Don't believe me? Check out downtown Mt. Vernon, IN for yourself if you have time to waste. Tequilas sits in a shopping strip on the East side of downtown Mt. Vernon. A vacant former "Kmart" building across from it. In short, you have two choices? Eat a Tequilas if you want average Mexican food and don't want to drive to Evansville, IN. Or make the drive and you will find better in...

The best Mexican restaurant in existence. Every Mexican restaurant I have ever been to doesn't compare to Tequilas. I've been eating here since I was a little girl and have yet to find a place as good as this. Mexican is my absolute favorite food and it's all because of this restaurant. I have now moved to Evansville and wish they would open one here. I definitely don't mind the drive to get Tequilas but would love one in Evansville. Anyways, the tacos will rock your socks off. The queso is pretty much perfect with their warm freshly served chips. The alcoholic beverages are fantastic as well! I have yet to find anything I don't like about this restaurant. Great staff, very friendly! I definitely recommend a visit if you haven't been. Everyone that I've taken here has loved...

Food was good...nice atmosphere and friendly staff..the table lighting is a bit too low for us tall guys..appetizer came out with dinner which was not the normal and we ordered a quesadilla which was not cut into sections when there was 3 of us..the waiter gave the check before asking if we wanted dessert which was a loss because we were considering ordering..so we decided to go somewhere else for that..but I would return and I do recommend trying for yourself as the good...
