I honestly wouldn't give them any stars. I booked them to cater my wedding well first let's start with booking. We called monday Friday the 16th to talk about prices because we had already looked at the menu online and just needed to place an order. The server on the phone told us to call back when the owners there cause she doesn't know anything a moobout catering, so we called back the 17th 9am. Busy signal. Call back 12. No answer. So we called every morning for about a week each time got told to call back when owner was there but he never answered when we called when they said hed be there. So two days before my wedding they finally answer take our order and the owner is supposed to call use back with a price (even tho its priced on the site ?) So the day of my wedding they never called back with a price so my husband calls and ask that morning. If they had a cater for Koch and the guy on the phone says "no we dont have any caters today" my husband flips and suddenly the guy finds the order and it's like 40$ more than priced online so we said whatever and did it. Time to pick up food was 530 we didnt get our food till 615. Even tho we were there to pick up at correct time. They gave no dipping utensils and the beans and pork gave everyone food poisoning. Do. Not....
Read moreMy wife and I met our granddaughters in Mt. Vernon for lunch, and my wife picked Frosty Mug Bar & Grill, which ended up being a mistake. The place is mostly a bar. There were a few tables out in a little area for families, but mostly a bar. The food was just barely ok. Two of the party ordered fish nuggets, and my wife said the fish was mediocre, and the homemade chips, some were crispy, and some were soggy with grease. Another party member ordered a chicken wrap. She said it wasn't anything she couldn't have made at home. I ordered a barbecue sandwich, which is what they're supposed to be known for. There was lots of meat, but I could hardly taste any smoked flavor at all. It was almost as if the meat was cooked in a crock pot, although I'm sure it wasn't. I also ordered baked beans, and as you can see in the picture, they look like a five bean salad. I'm not sure if they called them baked beans or barbecue beans. But I'm not sure how they can call them either. We had a friendly, knowledgeable server, and that made it a little better. For the five of us, with no alcohol included, the bill was $75.00. The place is old and a little bit dinghy. It's pretty much a local hangout. If this review was helpful, please give me...
Read moreI don't usually judge a book by its cover but in this case the outside appearance should serve as a warning. The inside is a mixture of sleazy bar and casino with gambling machines stuffed in the nooks and crannies and topped of with mirrors in the dining room. The waitress was as sweet as she could be but either she misunderstood my order or I used the wrong term but I got pork tenderloin instead of a tenderloin sandwich. She offered to make it right but we wanted to get back on the road. It came with 2 sides so I got baked beans and coleslaw, the slaw was pretty standard but the baked beans were unlike any I have had. Instead of standard navy beans there were lima and kidney beans as well as some kind of ground meat..it didn't taste too bad but definitely an acquired taste. The grilled pork tenderloin was so so..a little chewy and may have been under done because I had stomach issues that night into the next day. It was also served with garlic toast that tasted like it was done on a not to clean grill. The chicken tenders with the kids meal was definitely overcooked and chewy. Given the atmosphere it isn't...
